The B plot is what hammered home the point of the whole satire of the episode, with the client being the horse's ass that exemplified the type of toxicity that they were skewering. The episode's efficacy as satire would have been much less without the presence of the B plot to put the spotlight on the behaviors they were satirizing. -M Then we needed a reason to root for the colleague representing the dirt bag. We barely know him and had zero reason to root for him. Were we meant to root for him? Personally, I was hoping the elf would win and set some goofy legal precedent. As for not knowing him, that was the point of the gag; that the pig-lawyer would object to a talented lawyer he had direct experience with and go for literally anyone else simply because they had the right genitalia. He's basically a prop to make the gag work, so asking for motivation to care for him is like asking for back story for Elmer Fudd; you're not meant to care for him, he's just there to get blasted in the face and create a sight gag.

I see an awful lot of hostility toward the show online... which I don't really get, as it's pretty much in the light-hearted tone of most She-Hulk comics. Plus the actress playing her is doing a great job.
Episode 7 was my favourite to date. Man-Bull? El Aguila? The porcupine? Talk about unexpected choices!
I also really liked how the wrecking crew was tied to Asgard in a much simpler way than in comics.

I've only caught two episodes, which were fine and entertaining, but, for me, missing some of the timing of Dan Slott's stories. Nothing major, though; but, yeah, I've seen a couple of thumbnails come up on my Youtube feed that look like attack pieces. Some of it just seems to be people s@#$%%ing on it to get attention for being a critic and some seems to be dumped in with Phase 4. Some of it is just plain old misogyny, since they seem to attack anything with a female lead.

I loved the latest episode, Abomination's supervillain self help group was one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time.

As my younger daughter had said, “if you don’t like Ms Marvel and She-Hulk, then you don’t like fun.”
This week’s episode of She-Hulk was absurd but in the best way possible. Bringing in Z-List villains to talk Jen through her issues was both hilarious and touching.

Haven't started it yet and not at all a fan of the comics character but I still mean to give this show a try just because I think the lead actress is so good, based on her performance(s) in Orphan Black.

I'm caught up now; and, I have to say, any "hate" the show is getting sounds like the same anti-female perspective BS that seems to accompany anything female-centric in comics and related fields. The show has grown on me, across the episodes, but it is definitely a character-driven concept, which I like, as it is being done well. So, either a bunch of critics wanted "She-Hulk SMASH!" or they wanted wanted Amazonian cheesecake. There is a good cast of characters, a definite female perspective on a female character, and an entertaining and fun show.
Loved the support group and the nod to Dan Slott, on the tow truck.
The clothing designer, though, was pretty much a gender swap of Edina Mode, from The Incredibles.

This is the same formula as other MCU SHOWS. Strong start and strong ending. Weak middle episodes. This week's episode was awesome.

Which pretty much mirrors a lot of comic storlines, these days, which also sag in the middle. Too much writing towards a structure and not enough structuring to suit the story.

I really loved the meetup with Daredevil, though I kind of wish the gold was more pronounced as I liked that look a lot in the previous sneak peak we got.

Fallen behind on my viewing so I just fell in love with Madisynn with two ns and one y (but not where you'd expect it) last night, while the rest of the civilized world has been talking about her for a month now. Really entertaining episode, and it sounds like they're only going to get better.
I still struggle with a lot of the basic premise -- they somehow know less about law than I do, and none of the supporting cast is well developed -- but it's definitely fun viewing. Not something I'd likely watch more than once, though.

I loved watching Friends, Seinfeld, Fraiser and Modern Family when they came out(not that I'd put She-Hulk as high up as those shows) but I've never really wanted to rewatch any of those since then. If I was cooking or doing dishes and they came on TV I'm not changing the channel, but they're not something I have the DVDs for. Werewolf By Night though? I'm getting that on DVD if it gets a physical release for sure, that was an instant, "I need to watch this every October!" kind of movie.

Yeah, I loved the reveal that Kevin Feige was actually a robot. That said, while I loved the homage of the classic Incredible Hulk opening I wish there had been an actual conclusion. I definitely agreed with Jen that the typical Marvel 3rd act cgi-action fest wouldn't have been totally satisfactory but they didn't actually give us an ending in its place as we never saw the court case at the end.
