Copying my FB status just now --
Note to self: If we don't ever get anywhere near our car on a Sunday, & it starts raining around nightfall, we just *might* want to check our driver's-side door & our moonroof to make sure they're not cracked a few inches. Otherwise, we'll find out they weren't when it's time to drive to work Monday morning. And our windbreaker will have sat in the passenger's seat all night & will be soaked.
*sigh*

Well, it's been weird.
Susan had to get up at 5 this morning to a town 90 miles away for an 8 a.m. very important meeting with a doctor, the staff and their morning patients. It was booked months ago.
Oklahoma got snow and ice last night. She had to drive it and was concerned naturally. Me, I can drive through anything.
Got her up at 5, except Hildie got me up at 3 to go pee pee, and I didn't get back to sleep.
Made sure Susan had everything. While she was getting ready I started her car and drove it to the outskirts of town to see how the roads were and to warm up the engine for her heater.
Went back to bed about 9 and was woke up by an earthquake.
Checked e-mail.
Back to bed and up again to sign on.
Good Morning / Afternoon CCFers !

Good morning! One question, though: How is this thread different from the CBR chat thread?

When will then be now and when can I post in this thread and not be off topic...inquiring minds want to know...my definition of morning is just after I wake up no matter what time the clock says... -M I hear you brother. As someone who works rotating shifts, 3-11 11-7 7-3 , I struggle to remember what day of the week it is, let alone what time of the day. ( and down on the bottom of the world here, upside down as we are, its even worse)

Good morning, I suppose. (It's going to be a looong day so pardon my lack of enthisiasm.) I'm kinda surprised so many folks don't know the difference between sweet potatoes and yams. I've had both (during the same Thanksgiving dinner even!) and there are noticeable differences in taste, color, texture, etc. I'll take sweet potatoes over yams every damn time. As for cornbread, I love it, especially piping hot and covered with fresh honey. Yum! Can't imagine anyone desecrating such wonderfulness with sugar!!?! I won't even put sugar on my cornmeal mush. Generally speaking, I like Southern cuisine (as long as it doesn't contain my mortal enemies, peppers, or the slimy abomination known as okra). It's frustrating that local restaurants offering grits on their breakfast menus are so few and far between. I'll have you know, Dan, my parents were both from Wisconsin and they were NOT oafs!!! ... Apparently it skipped a generation. Cei-U! Dammit, now I want grits!

Good morning! One question, though: How is this thread different from the CBR chat thread? This thread will contain 72% more food talk.

As for cornbread, I love it, especially piping hot and covered with fresh honey. I'm ... going to have to take this under advisement until I can consult with my colleagues on the Cornbread Council. We'll be getting back to you. My initial reaction is that while honey is perfectly fine on biscuits, putting it on cornbread is some sort of crack-brained Pacific NW thing. Please tell me you didn't pick up this suspect practice during your visit to Texarkana. Though that's close enough to Texas -- hell, might as well have been on the *choke* Texas side -- that all sorts of deviltry could've been visited upon you courtesy of that heathen land ...

Good morning! One question, though: How is this thread different from the CBR chat thread? Are you going to be this contrary when the "Good Afternoon," "Good Evening" & "Goodnight" threads are up & running?

Good morning! One question, though: How is this thread different from the CBR chat thread? Are you going to be this contrary when the "Good Afternoon," "Good Evening" & "Goodnight" threads are up & running? There's always a chance evenings and nights will be good over morning. But I am not a leader I'm a follower so I've posted in this thread.

Good morning! One question, though: How is this thread different from the CBR chat thread? Well the obvious answer is it's not on CBR....so you might see people here who won't set cyber foot there again, and people are 98% less likely to get banned for something they say in this thread than that one... but other than that, probably not much. -M
