I could site several examples of costume designs I like better in Age of Apocalypse than the 616 universe but not sure if that is playing by the rules. So I will go with my favorite original I wished they'd never changed. And especially by Kevin Nowlan

^Wolvie started out in the yellow-and-blue, but the brown-and-tan re-design by John Byrne is preferred by many for being a more stealthy and less gaudy colour scheme.

I also have always like the original X-Men uniform. Same here.

Just a thought: what about supervillains?
I do prefer Catwoman’s Golden Age attire.

Cei-U! I summon the sultry sartorial splendor!

I can only think of one (probably because I haven’t read a lot of Golden Age tales). This is what I was thinking of:

Yeah, I prefer the original Captain Britain costume too. I like Daredevil's original yellow and black/red costume an awful lot, but I do think that the all red costume is better.

That post shows how much old X-Men I have read. Not a lot obviously. His original mask design, as seen on MRP's cover above, with the 'whisker' lines coming from the nose, is... interesting. They changed it to the version we know now in Giant Size X Men.

I really like the original Jack of Hearts design: By the time Marvel killed him in the Avengers, his costume had become this: I get the original must have been a pain in the posterior to draw, but that later one has no playing card motif whatsoever.

Definitely, my choice would be Bishop with the OG X.S.E. uniform from his 90's debut...

How about Moon Knight's original "glider cape" costume? A bit of a misnomer, since it doesn't look at all like a hang-glider, but that's what some readers called it. Perhaps it was one of those things that only looked right when drawn by its creator, Don Perlin, but since that's my favourite version of the character I can conscientiously count it as 'an original costume that I miss'.

I thought of another one: Wonder Man. I much prefer the original costume to the safari jacket, which thankfully came along after I had stopped reading the Avengers. I also liked Perez's IMO unjustly ridiculed "Christmas tree" redesign.
