Count me in for the safari jacket for Wondie Dude. Gave him a Doc Savage look. I could see Ron Ely playing Wonder man, in the 1970s. I kind of preferred the blue and Yellow Goliath costume to all of Hank Pym's variations. Nice color combination and overall styling. I definitely preferred Paladin's original look to the redesigned purple body armor suit. I liked the swashbuckler stylings and the padded chestpiece; I just thought the color scheme was wrong, with the purple and mint green. A nice dark blue and silver, like Foolkiller, would have made that look spectacular. Always felt he was a character with a lot of potential who was rarely and poorly used.
I consider myself a Doc Savage fan, though I haven't read all that much, and I imagine that's what they were going for with the safari jacket but it never worked for me: didn't like the look in itself and also thought it inappropriate for a super-duper character like Wonder Man, as opposed to the relatively more down to earth pulp hero.
I think I agree on Goliath. I like the red one too but the blue or purple or whatever it was with yellow trim is even better. I also love the goggles someone mentioned above: I thought they were so cool looking as a kid, and I still do. Maybe even too good a design for a character I'm not all that keen on.

Definitely, my choice would be Bishop with the OG X.S.E. uniform from his 90's debut... Gary Coleman wore it better...

Spider-Man's original red-&-black w. blue spider emblem on the back: I wonder how many original readers thought Spidey was going to be a villain when they saw Amazing Fantasy #15 on the stands back in the day. Subverting expectations done right.

Almost all of these... But somehow Murph even made that Robin costume look decent.

My only objection to the outfit is that whenever I see it, I go looking for the rest of the THUNDER Squad.

Ma Hunkel was part of the larger Scribbly strip and then her own adventures, as her popularity grew and she took over the Scribbly strip. Sheldon Meyer was way ahead of Not Brand Ecch, in time and style.

There's something of Ma Hunkel's costume and "origin" in 'Mazing Man, too.

Now I know Iron Man's armor from the late 70s and thru the 80's was not the original armor , it was the armor I knew and still think is the best armor. Period.

I can't believe it has been replaced nearly 40 years ago, despite making a come-back from time to time. Truly an excellent design.

Is there anything to "miss" regarding Union Jack's costume? As far as I can tell that is still the same costume he's wearing these days. I think the only time he wasn't wearing that costume was during Knights of Pendragon (both of which weren't good costumes, so kinda obvious that he went back to this one.)

Definitely, my next choice would be Union Jack Man, I miss those days when the "newness" of computer coloring had worn off, and people started showing some restraint and coloring was still largely flat with subtle gradients. Unlike now, where it's either a total assault on your vision, or colored so dark it's mud. I want to see the inking, unencumbered.
