I have no idea if I’m in a minority here, but I still prefer Daredevil’s original costume:
I guess I like a mix of colours in a hero’s attire. I do like Daredevil’s red attire, but I’ll always like the original costume the most.
So, which original costume you do prefer over what came after? Include armour, if you wish. All I will request (and I never like to be pedantic with these things) is that the change you mention be something that was slightly significant. Batman may have had some variations from 1939 to the 80s, but they were blue and grey, minor variations aside. But if you really want to mention him, please do.
I look forward to your choices.

This is easily in my top 10 costume designs of all time.... and yes, I know her ORIGINAL didn't have the hair, but that was corrected pretty quickly.  |

The original has its moments, in the right hands; but the all red looks so much better. The original looks more like a pro wrestler's ring gear, which fit in with Matt Murdock growing up in fight gyms and secretly training.
I miss Superman's red undies, as it just looks wrong, without them.

No matter how silly it seems I'll always list Moondragon's green swimsuit and cape as one of my favourites, especially as drawn by George Perez in the '70s.

The suit and mask version played on the strengths of his pulp / radio heritage strongly associated with The Green Hornet, who predated The Sandman by three years. Although derivative of the Hornet, The Sandman still had his own weird, mysterious look, as opposed to the tights version, where he--and his sidekick Sandy--were all too obvious Batman, Robin, Captain America and Bucky knock-offs. |

I'm with driver... I like the original Daredevil costume better too. I also have always like the original X-Men uniform... especially for Cyclops.. the more recent ones with the x-shaped visor just don't make sense to me.  |
