Of this group, Simonson, but I went "Other" for: Spain, Deitch, Cooke, Los Bros, Kurtzman, Eisner, Glanzman, Justin Green, John Stanley... the list goes on.

Find it interesting that so far Frank Miller has zero votes. Other than his DD run I’ve never been super impressed.with either his art or his writing. While I liked the first 10 issues of DD (scripted by Mackenzie). I don’t really find his run holds up More so than the others?

Maybe , but I didn't have the time to pick creators that wouldn't move the needle. I chose these as the top and most prolific that did varied books. Did you think Kirby and Perez wouldn't move the needle? On this board? -M Oh man, I missed Kirby.

This poll is very U.S.-centric and rather limited in scope to superhero comics of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Which is a shame.
Anyway, I voted "other" for Hergé.
Also, just for the record, I'd pick Chester Gould, Frank Hampson and Will Eisner before any of those listed in this poll.

Other. Simonson and Miller would probably make it somewhere in my top fifty. Starlin would probably make it in my bottom ten. Byrne might make the top 200.
Barks, Eisner, Cooke, Wood, Grell, Hell...I'd put Don Newton's single story as a writer/artist above Starlin.

but isn't the point of a poll like this to gauge what the opinion of the community is, which means you can't let your bias dictate choices, otherwise it becomes do we confirm the OP's opinion or not instead of what do we think as a community. -M Maybe , but I didn't have the time to pick creators that wouldn't move the needle. I chose these as the top and most prolific that did varied books. You've been here long enough to know that Barks would move the needle.

I chose Naoki Urasawa mainly because he's created half a dozen classic manga series whereas most mangaka have one if they're lucky.

I voted "Other" but I'm still trying to decide who to choose from among the several names I have in mind.
