I can't stand infantilized versions of characters. X-Babies, Muppet Babies, Little Archie. God, they are all horrible. That's exactly what I want to read, stories pandering to cat ladies who collect Mary Englebreit calendars. If you're including Little Archie in that group you've definitely never read Little Archie. It was usually better written and frequently more adult than the main title.

Just can't do it.

Those are classic stories, some of the best Archie stories I remember reading in 4-6th grade. - jb the (also loves L'Groo" tales) ib -

Us am not sure what bad mans Phil Maurice has against Superbaby. I knew there'd be a fan out there to check me (in Super-Baby speak, to boot). I hope you're getting the help you need.
If it helps, I also hated it when Gerber turned Magneto into a baby. Babies. Yuck.
There was a time when I would have turned my nose up at such a concept for Marvel characters. Now, not so much and I am very curious how well (or bad) Gerber executed on that concept. I must seek it out. - jb the mellowed with age ib -

At our ages, it's probably good we're not crazy about them now.

Ish, I think Scott is annoyed by kiddie versions of pre-existing characters. I don't think he would be bothered by Sugar and Spike. (Did you ever see the one where they are talking to the baby lobster in the restaurant? (Because all babies speak the same language, even if they're lobsters!))

Too bad that Adventure Comic where the Legion of Super Heroes turned to babies wasn't multi-panel.I'd post it right here. I'll get to it someday, somewhere

Oops, sorry Scott. How can you not like the awesomeness of Sugar and Spike? This is correct. I don't necessarily mind stories about children. It's the fake cuteness of kiddie versions of adult characters that I cannot abide. I haven't read any Sugar and Spike, though I have heard very good things about it and I do own a couple issues. Just have not gotten around to reading them.

LITTLE Archie is the adventure solving detective badass.
