Jack Kirby, Machine Man and the CB radio craze of the late 70's gave us Ten-For.

Never look back. You'll drive yourself crazy.
If I look back, I don't go crazy about what I sold, but what I didn't buy when it was affordable.
Like Black Panther #1, which was chump change for years.....
God, remember those days? You could actually find first issues of loads of 70's Marvel and DC comics in the dollar bins. I remember picking up Black Panther, Nova, Firestorm, Son of Satan, Black Lightning, etc, etc. Probably sold them for a profit but nothing compared to what they go for today.

Looking at Lonestar, they have a tag for Flexidisc records... herehere's what they list... Bantha Tracks #34 Critters 23 Doctor Who Magazine 167 Nexus Magazine 3 Paper Cuts Illustrated Lyrics 1, 3 Raw 4 Scout 19 Starlog 42, 55 No listing for Mad so it's likely not a complete list, just the ones they have tagged. -M I remember a Bloom County collection having a flexidisc by Billy and the Boingers (the band Bill the Cat started) Not quite a comic book but still relevant to the topic.

This was a unique gimmick. They published Team Titans #1 that had a story but with different back up story featuring origin stories for every member for different issues. They tried to get the collector to buy all the issues. And I did.
Personally, I found the individual stories quite enjoyable. I thought there were some interesting ideas in Team Titans, but I'm not sure there was ever a masterplan for how things should play out, so it quickly got tangled up in its own convoluted continuity and twisted alternative futures and wound up a horrible mess. Not even Marv Wolfman can knock it out of the park every time.
Essentially an attempt to create a ' Days of Future Past' for the Titans, but spinning out of the Armageddon 2000 event meant it was behind the 8-ball from the start. Please start the new contest at your convenience (preferably within 24 hours).
I loved the characters but, yes, the story was a mess. They would have been better off not being associated with the Titans. We might have seen them again.

John Buscema? Yes. Definitely top 10. It's the hands.
Sal Buscema? No. Just outside the top 10 but you can't deny the talent and speed combo.
Joe Kubert? No. Loved a lot of his work (namely Hawkman) but I've never read much of his war output.
The Hernandez's? No. I liked Love and Rockets but I like a lot of stuff.
The Romita's? No. Senior never did enough for me and Junior had some big hits and some huge misses.

Moebius? No. I've liked what little I've read but maybe a top 20 not top 10.
Tardi? No. Never read any of it.
Barks? No. Never been into Disney
Pope? No. His style reminds me of someone, can't put my finger on it. Still a No.

Gaiman? No. I've only read Sandman so I guess I don't really have enough to go on to rank him but I will say I've never wanted to read it again.
Kirby? Yes. I never get tired of looking at his stuff. There's always something of his I can peruse and get a thrill out of. The King for a reason.

Salicrup was quite experienced as an editor by then. (Avengers, FF) Of course that doesn't explain his work on ASM. He was editor of the infamous Avengers 200 if that helps. I meant he was new as the Spider books editor. I know he'd been an editor for a while. I think it was mentioned in another thread that he was the X-Men editor toward the end of the Claremont/Byrne period between the stints of Rogert Stern and Louise (Jones) Simsonson. Ok, got it. Read that differently.

Peter David said the Hobgoblin being Ned Leeds was Tom DeFalco's idea but he fell out with the editor Jim Owsley and departed before he could establish this in the comic. Owsley then offed Leeds, perhaps because he thought too many fans had guessed Leeds was Hobgoblin basede on clues planted by DeFalco. Owsley then asked David to write ASM #289 and reveal Hobby was the Foreigner, but David rejected this and opted for Leeds, who being dead would be the last person people would expect. That's crazy. That would explain the ridiculous disconnect between Spider-Man vs. Wolverine #1 and ASM #289, with Owsley killing off Leeds so cavalierly if he wasn't the Hobgoblin but was killed by him. I don't like the idea of the Foreigner as the Hobgoblin, and I think it's silly to change it just because there were hints. Though I think it would be fine to go in a different decision if it made a better story, I don't think it has to be a surprise at the moment of the revelation. I think it's interesting to have different fans figure it out at different times. ETA: Was Jim Salicrup asleep at the wheel? How do you not have better coordination on a plan for something so important? I know he was relatively new as editing after Owsley moved from editor to writer, but still. Salicrup was quite experienced as an editor by then. (Avengers, FF) Of course that doesn't explain his work on ASM. He was editor of the infamous Avengers 200 if that helps.

Batman for sure. If you factor in the rest of the Batman Family that's about %70 of DC's output for the past 30 years.

Sal Buscema.
But I've always had a soft spot for Jeff Purves and Ron Garney.
