Reminds me of Strangers in Paradise with the odd humor

This one comic book shop that I go to once or twice a year, theyve been having a weekly new comic book show off facebook video every Wednesday and then a 5 pm special show with some oddball calling him Raised by Badgers who sings songs in the style of Taylor Swift.
So do you guys have a comic book shop where they do a once a week new comic book day video on facebook or youtube?

I love the original Star Trek William Shatner Kirk and gang since Star Trek II Wrath of Khan.
I cant stand the sillyness of the 1960s era of the sci fi style for original Star Trek.
Deep Space Nine is the middle ground for me.
Voyager's alright I got tired of seeing Janeway act like a mother to everyone including Seven of Nine

About Marvel and Elfquest.
Technically who cares really. The Pinis they still made Elfquest fir Marvel back then. I don't care if they were "reprinted" or whatever. I grew up with that Elfquest back then.

Im 35 years old and Im one of those cranky curmudgeons lol. I still prefer the 1980s Uncanny X Men of Wolverine, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Storm, Dazzler and plain old British Psylocke aka Betsy Braddock along with Power Pack, Alpha Flight, Groo, What The, NOW COmics, and the Marvel Comics Elfquest.
Just recently earlier today I got the brand new Elfquest Final Quest trade paperback Volume 1 in the mail today. Its been a long long time since Ive read Elfquest since the Pinis made Elfquest for Marvel Comics for a short time.
The only elves I still remember are Skywise and Cutter. the good old days

The Return of the Jedi limited series is what got me into the last half of the old 1980s Marvel Comics Star Wars series.
Even with the older Dark Horse Long Time Ago Omnibuses, I still love looking at the old Return of the Jedi limited series. the artwork for everything from the Rancor to Emperor Palpatine, i was impressed with the colorings etc.

I have a question. The comic shop I go to once in awhile or once a year or so, they still have short long boxes full of old toy fare and wizard magazines 50 cents each mixed with other 15 year old magazines.
Since I am probably the only person who buts old stuff like that and those old wizard magazines are just sitting there collecting dust do you think it's possible if the workers there would be willing to give them away for free? I don't think anyone else is buying them. Just me probably anyway.
Heck the oldest issues of Wizard I saw were issues 24 and 25

My comic book goals of 2016 if and whenever I get the chance to do it.
-continue on with buying back issues of original Alpha Flight buying old single back issues from the comic book shop. Rebuild my childhood Alpha Flight collection
Other things from the comic shop when I can afford it.
-buy a couple of old Toybiz X Men figures from the comic book shop. There's alot of goodies
-continue on with buying back issues for original Uncanny X Men. Regular stuff after the Bishop storyline. Recently I bought issue 312 that has Storms friend Yukio or whatever. Not going to buy every old issue of uncanny x men but some here and there to fill in a few gaps.
- buy issues 101 to 118 of Wolverine series 2
- finally going to buy a long box for once.
- buy at least one new comic book series from Marvel or dc. I'll be late in the game but oh well.

I still love old comic books from the 1980s and 1990s and Im trying to catch up and stuff but special events like "Free" Comic Book Day isnt for me. Plus the people that are into Free Comic Book Day, they fill up the parking lot making it packed and crowded. Worse even when you try to walk around in the store but I didnt go to the comic book shop today anyway. I had my reason which I just explained.
The cramped parking, everyone crowding around in costumes where they just stand still and not moving out of the way when you want to look for something.

I am aware of the "free" comic book day thing going on today but I did my shopping a little bit at the comic shop yesterday. Bought three of the Marvels black and white essentials fir original uncanny x men and X Factor volume 1. They were 10 bucks each so that wasn't too bad but I still need to get a couple more of the Essential X Men stuff. Even bought some single issue back issues they . We're 4 bucks each. I got 1990s Jim Lee X Men issue 23 and issue 39 along with Uncanny X Men 312

Years ago did DC Comics ever have their own version of trading cards series like Marvels Masterpieces series?

When the Age of Apocalypse storyline was just around the corner, issue 42 the year ended issue, it made a big fuss that all of the X Men titles were going to be canceled to make room for the Age of Apocalypse story.
Even back then I was saddened to hear about Uncanny X Men and X Force, Wolverine were going to end right there lol.

Yeah Toyfare was pretty much Wizard's "sister"
ANYWAYS. Toyfare magazine during 1998 was impressive. In the mail today I got issue 10 an old classic. Alot of cool stuff back then such as Babylon 5 action figures and random female action figures from various Image Comics or whatever. In fact most of those female action figures and smaller statue figurines had big boobs which was kind of unnecessary but oh well.

Back in 1998 they showed some awesome stuff such as Babylon 5 action figures and some odd Manga Spawn action figures.
Also McFarlanes Universal Monsters were gruesome looking but cool at the same time

Im not talking about the stupid old Disney movie.
Im talking about the comic book from Top Cow or whatever. high schoolers that become weird mutants after they're infected with an STD.
Its pretty much a weird comic book version like the movie Kids except the comic book is weirder
