MechaGodzilla, sorry but your local comic book shop is just making excuses blaming a stupid Kindle or Tablet app for downloading comics.
What a poor excuse they're coming up, really.

Thats a poor excuse to shut their downs. Not everyone uses Comicsology or whatever its called. Even I dont use stupid tablet or Kindle related comic book apps.
Im still into old school single issues, back issues from comic book shops. I just dont have the time or money to go shop at a comic book shop. Once a year is good enough for me since I just dont like to go traveling alot etc. But I am planning on going out of town for the next couple of days anyway and go for a 2 hour drive to a city where there is that one comic book shop I used to love going to years ago just to look around etc.

Yes it is the series that I just said in my first post.
Anyone actually read it? Is it really that weird with the STD changing the students into odd mutants or whatever?

years ago there was the Black Hole comic book short series.
It was kind of weird about high schoolers that turned into odd mutants after an STD outbreak. I never saw it anywhere but just wondering if anyone here ever read the series?

Not really a comic book but its from Wizard Magazine.
Wizard's Dark Room Volume 1 which is about the villains. Volume 1 of the Dark Room the front cover is a bit creepy since it has Carnage on the front cover.
That and the old Wizard Magazine's 30th Anniversary of the X-Men special

Well ok but you or whoever else was assuming Swarm was introduced in the stupid Squirrel Girl comic. I was correcting them about it.
I still do think Marvel got ruined due to the whole Squirrel Girl character. ive heard about the stuff over these past few years where Squirrel Girl could probably defeat a cosmisc character like Eternity or even Silver Surfer etc.
Thats how bad Marvel has gotten not just with their treatment of X Men. Theres not even any new Fantastic Four at all. because of Sony, Fox, Disney and Marvel all in a stupid piss war contest battle over characters

action figures I would love to see someday
Proper 3 inch action figures made for Alpha Flight. Not just Guardian but also a Shaman action figure and a proper Sasquatch, and a nice Snow figure in her human form

Really? it only cost you 5.95 for a long box at your comic book shop? Thats not bad. I was expecting it to be 20 bucks for one cardboard long box.
Guess it depends on the comic book shop I guess or whatever

No I didnt grow up in the Rob Liefield days.
I grew up in the early 1980s where I was a little kid that was hooked on the cool stuff such as Power Pack, Groo, Alpha Flight, Uncanny X-Men, Elfquest.
the 1990s I was still into Uncanny X-Men and bits and pieces of Amazing SpiderMan and Sensational Spider-Man and Wolverine series Volume 2.
By the way, Swarm was introduced in Sensational Spider-Man long before Swarm showed up in stupid Squirrel Girl comic

Yes theres going to be a major crash in the comic book industry maybe in 2017 or 2018.
Reasons why
Comics just arent as fun as they used to be back in the 1980s and 1990s
Sony, Fox, Disney and Marvel. They're all in a piss war contest whatever concerning Inhumans being the new thing, X Men comics being all screwy now, and Fantastic Four no more or whatever is going on.
Plus theres been way too much of new trade paperbacks that have less content such as only 6 issues in just one frikkin trade paperback. Not even worth wasting money on if a newer trade paperback has only 6 issues

Just curious how much is one long box at comic book shops. Every time I think of even just one long box at a comic book shop, I always think a long box is expensive at 20 bucks or more at the comic book shop.
So I was wondering how much does a long box cost at the comic shop that you go to?

yes the comic book shop that I go to once every few years or whatever they still have that one wall of doom where they have old crusty back issues high on the damn wall. Doesnt matter if they're "key" issues or whatever, they're just on the wall way too high for customers to bring down to look at. all of those old back issues that are on the damn wall, theyve been on that wall since 10 years or more. They're all old and crusty lol. Overpriced too. I always see old Uncanny X-Men back issues on the wall where the back issues are the ones from the 1980s. the same back issues that are also in long boxes which I dont get.
Like I said, its hard for people like me who are 5 feet and shorter who find it annoying that those old crusty 25-40 year old back issues are on the damn wall for no reason. If they're for display purposes thats fine I guess but they do have price stickers on them also.
If I was running my own comic book shop, I wouldnt put old comic book issues that damn high on the wall for crying out loud

Well, Slam Bradley I take it you're not 5'5. You don't know what it's like fir us short people whenever I or other shorties go to a comic shop and we see the dreaded wall of overpriced back issues that are on that wall.
The same wall where those back issues they're hung up or taped up on the wall really high.
Even if I tried to stretch my arms to try to get at Those comics on the damn wall it's not enough.
My height 5'5 plus arms stretched out at the limit where my reach would be about 5'7 I still couldn't reach the darn back issues on the wall when those back issues are on the wall they're up to at least 6 feet or God almighty at 7 feet.
I'd love to be 6 foot something but do comic book shop workers have to be that cruel thing to just put up 30-40 year old "expensive" comics on the DNA wall right up the ceiling?
