Pre-order up on Amazon for January 26, 2021: Manhunter By Archie Goodwin And Walter Simonson Deluxe Edition Hardcover – January 26, 2021. $17.99 The cult-favorite Manhunter epic from the 1970s is collected for the first time in a Deluxe Edition hardcover! In 1973, revered comics writer Archie Goodwin teamed with rising star artist Walter Simonson for a short feature in Detective Comics called Manhunter. Conceived as a colorful contrast to the dark lead stories starring Batman, Manhunter was adventurer Paul Kirk, who criss-crossed the globe in an espionage caper, with the mysterious Council that trained him in pursuit. The story culminated in a team-up with Batman, during which Manhunter was killed in action. This brief but fast-paced epic won two Shazam! Awards, the 1970s equivalent of today's Eisner Awards. Collects stories from Detective Comics #437 - 443, plus the silent epilogue story first published in the 1990s.
Marvel Love and War by Jack Kirby Omnibus Hardcover – December 22, 2020. $125.00 King of the comics art form, Jack Kirby needs no introduction. He was an architect of the Marvel Universe, but his contributions to Marvel extended far beyond just super heroes. Highlighting two sides of the human condition, Kirby's war and romance work finally gets its due in this omnibus edition. A combat soldier during World War II, Kirby brings hard-earned realism to stories from BATTLEGROUND and BATTLE. Atlas-era Cold War intrigue manifests in the adventure comic YELLOW CLAW, while Kirby and Stan Lee bring the war genre into the Marvel Age with SGT. FURY. On the other end of the spectrum are tales from vintage Marvel romance titles-many restored directly from Kirby's original art-that prove that love is war! COLLECTING: MATERIAL FROM BATTLE (1951) 64-70; BATTLEGROUND (1954) 14; SGT. FURY (1963) 1-8, 10-20, 25; YELLOW CLAW (1956) 2-4; LOVE ROMANCES (1949) 83-85, 87-88, 96-106; MY OWN ROMANCE (1949) 71-76; TEEN-AGE ROMANCE (1960) 84-86

In my mailbox last night from Amazon was my DC Goes to War hardback. Talk about a sweet book of classic war tales I am going to enjoy! Inside is a wonderful batch of stories collected: Showcase #57 with Enemy Ace, Our Army at War #67, #83, #233 with Sgt Rock, and #235 with Sgt Rock, Boy Commandos #1, Star Spangled War Stories #87 with Mlle Marie and #183 with Unknown Soldier, All-American Comics #48, Weird War Tales #3 (1972), G.I. Combat #87 with Haunted Tank, Our Fighting Forces #49 and #102, The Losers Special #1, and Military Comics #1 with Blackhawk, Sgt. Rock Special #2 and Enemy Ace: War in Heaven #1-2. A very nice edition with nice white flat not glossy paper in which the art really jumps out at you. Good clean coloring reminescent of the old days that doesn't wash away or hide line work and it looks and feels like classic comics with better printing! Well worth cracking open your piggy bank for!

Usagi Yojimbo: Bunraku and Other Stories Paperback – April 9, 2020 by Stan Sakai (Author) 5.0 out of 5 stars ratings. Follow these all-new full-color adventures of rabbit ronin Miyamoto Usagi as he wanders Edo period Japan on his warrior's journey.
Presented in color for the first time, the ongoing adventures of Stan Sakai's seminal and long running series are now being published by IDW. Any sign of the Werewolf By Night #32 facsimile edition yet? DC cancelled all their facsimile editions and dollar reprints. Not sure if Marvel followed suit. Purportedly to not flood comic shops with too much inventory coming out of the shut down, but I take the rationale with a grain of salt. -M

FROM DC in September: SHAZAM!: THE MONSTER SOCIETY OF EVIL DELUXE EDITION HC
written by OTTO BINDER art by C.C. BECK and PETE COSTANZA cover by MICHAEL CHO At first he was simply a disembodied voice on the radio, taunting Captain Marvel with his ever-more-fiendish schemes to conquer the world. Then, readers gasped as Mr. Mind was revealed—all two inches of him! Was this lowly creature really the epitome of evil he claimed to be? Fortunately, Billy Batson understood the folly of underestimating someone based on their size! As small as he was, Mr. Mind was big trouble—especially once he turned the menacing members of his Monster Society of Evil loose to wreak havoc! This new title collects the entire 24-chapter serial from the Golden Age of Comics with new essays by Fawcett Comics expert P.C. Hamerlinck and film producer and comics historian Michael Uslan.
Glad to see this getting re-solicited again.
I'll definitely be getting this and hoping it didn't get censored because of certain Golden Age stereotypes.
I'd like to read and relish this the way it was originally published.
Ha Ha.... this will NEVER be published. I have the old Hardcover, and there's no way DC/WB/ATT will put this in print.

If it's inked by Harry Harrison it might be a little disappointing; I had the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde comic by Wood & Harrison to go by. Sounds like a great book overall though!
