I'm looking forward to this, Dawn Vampirella, Dawn's first crossover and sorta commemorates her 25th year in comics Street date is the first week in September I think, but expect a low print run...I won't be surprised if it's under 10,000 copies as one of its predecessors, Sin Boldly.

Has anyone tried The Devilers #1? This is one that slipped under our own radar, but from what I've heard, the print run was about 14,700 copies and has sold out. I got one from Midtown, fortunately... (W) Joshua Hale Fialkov (A) Matt Triano (CA) Jock When the world is under siege from the pits of hell, it's up to the DEVILERS to set things right. Seven of the world's greatest exorcists pit themselves against Satan's army, and all of creation hangs in the balance. From the writer of THE BUNKER, THE ULTIMATES, and I, VAMPIRE comes a horror fueled adventure through hell itself.

I haven't read Devilers yet, but I do intend to pick it up this week. Fialkov is on my watchlist since his excellent I, Vampire series at DC, one of the best books of the New 52 relaunch. I expect I'll be picking up that and Peter Milligan's Terminal Hero regularly.

Read the first three issues of Manifest Destiny. Interesting book. Great concept, good story so far and pretty good art. Feels a bit like a Dungeons & Dragons wilderness campaign...but in a different setting.
Image really is publishing far and away the most interesting books right now.

I haven't been to my LCS in a while so I picked up titles that I never read : MPH #1 SPOILERSThe story follows a low level drug dealer with dreams of making it big get set up and land in jail by his boss , in order for his boss to get with his girl. While he's in jail all the avenues to getting out( turning states evidence) are closed to him so he gives up and takes some type of drug called MPH offered to him by his cell mate. It speeds him up to Flash type level speed and he escapes. MPH first made it's appearance 30 years prior when some young person took it and ran across the country causing damage. The last page eludes to a Government agenda with the drug. All in all I give it a C+. Nothing spectacular but I commend Mark Millar for restraining himself and not going over the top with violence and language.

I had high hopes for this, but I thought it was pretty awful. Not nearly enough history and too many zombies.

I tried the first two issues and though they were alright, but dropped it thinking maybe get the trade later. We had a customer jump on late, missed #1 and wanted a first print, just didn't want to pay the $35-50 #1 was selling for, much to my surprise. I offered him my #1 for $15 which he jumped at and traded my #2 back to the store for credit, so I will pick up the first trade with that money... -M

I think I read the first issue of Manifest Destiny and just wasn't feeling it. I love Comixology's sales. I have picked up so many things from them and liked 99 % of them. Picked up Oni's Wasteland # 1-50 in a bundle for $ 24.99 ($.50 ea) by Antony Johnston and Christopher Mitten, and Ben Templesmith art on the first cover. "100 years after the Big Wet, Earth has been left a broken, infertile world of rock and sand. The town of Providens is like many others on the post-Big Wet plant - small, mostly illiterate, and struggling for survival. When the town welcomes a stranger named Michael into its midst, will the quiet man lead them to a brave new world or shatter what little order still exists ? From the writer and artist of Queen & Country : Declassified : Sons & Daughters comes a bold new ongoing series that bends genres and conventions in a way that only comics can!" Read the first 2 issues, in b&w, and have liked it. Never have read Q & C, and I can't say I've heard of Christopher Mitten before, but I like it. Also, 593 ratings give it 4 / 5. Archaia had some stuff on sale. Their quality is really high but most of this was fantasy, which I'm not normally that interested in, however, I liked the description for Lucid and got the first issue free and paid $.99 each for the rest of the series (3 issues). "Welcome to the world of LUCID, the highly anticipated, action-packed, pop-fantasy, four-issue miniseries that draws inspiration from the spy genre, Arthurian legend and 21st-century folklore! Dark forces are conspiring to prevent humankind from reaching its true potential. Thankfully, as newly appointed “Protector of the Realm,” Agent Matthew Dee uses his skills as a covert spy and Combat Mage to ensure America’s freedom from the grip of evil. In the debut issue: Who is Waylan Gheely, and what forbidden power has he stolen? What ancient evil, banished two millennia ago by Merlin himself, threatens to consume our dimension? What presence lurks in the shadows behind it all? And just who is The Secretary of Secrets? Written by “True Blood” actor Michael McMillian and illustrated by newcomer Anna Wieszczyk, LUCID is Archaia’s first title published in association with Zachary Quinto (“Heroes,” “Star Trek”) and his company, Before the Door." I don't see a follow up series, but would certainly buy it based on this mini.

Haven't tried it yet but am going to. Love the exorcist squad premise and Fialkov is dependably good. Don't know Matt Triano's art, but Jock on cover ? Yes !

Looks like a new character, Silk, will be introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #4 due this Wednesday (July23). Conquestcomics had exclusive Campbell covers that have already sold out from the store...expect these to balloon in price....(regular covers look awful imho)

I'm looking forward to this one as well, Jez. I'm a big Linsner fan and him doing double duty of drawing Dawn and Vampi... sold twice over. Also, I emailed JML and he's going to send me a few of the retailer incentives as well.
