Kitty Pryde and Dick Grayson. Give it up for the junior team members who grow and change along with their adolescent readers in order to mature into heroes!

Spidey all the way. Up until the just before the messy 90's clone storyline. And I can appreciate Ultimate Spidey. Batman is runner up, anything from Neal Adams start til now has sat well with me. Captain Mar-Vell (Kree) is third. Dunno what I love about him...the original series just has great art and I feel like his space origin/story is much better than Supermans. I have not read the Death Of Captain Marvel yet but am looking out for a copy of the original comic/graphic novel.

Once upon a time I would have said Batman with no hesitation. But which Batman because he's been at least half a dozen to a dozen different characters. It was then that I decided that when you have characters that are 40-75 years old that they almost certainly have gone through times where they're virtually unrecognizable as that "character."
That said. I'll say Dian Belmont from Sandman Mystery Theater. One of the best realized and most interesting female characters I've personally read.

The Joker!
I think the first comic book I ever bought with the Joker was The Joker #7, guest-starring Lex Luthor!
