Not bad, not great either. I'd say the Netflix Marvel series, are clearly the best superhero ones out there; things like Arrow and AoS don't even play in the same league. Regarding the Black Sky and the Hand, I have a few questions: - What were they originally intending to do with the big "metal egg"?
- Why did Stick bother killing the first kid in Season 1, if they can take him back?
- Why haven't they?
I think Flash could take on Netflix Marvel series

I'm at episode 9, and I'm really struggling. The actress who portrays Karen Page is using the samehalf sobbing tone she did in True Blood throughout, and that is annoying as it can get. The rift between Matt and Foggy is the most unrealistic one, the way Stick is tolerated in this is just stupid, and more than anything, the kingpin's plan with Castle is so abyssimaly stupid and uncharacteristic that the last 4 episodes are definitivly dreaded on this side. I actually like the Kingpins' Plan to keep the Top chair empty until he is freed Yes, that's alright actually. I wasn't there yet, but that's his revised plan though. We'll see. I'll admit that by the end of episode 9 it became better, but man was it a drag before that!

Finished it yesterday and I really loved it! Different type of story than season 1. I loved The Punisher (his scenes with Karen were awesome) and hope he gets his own Neflix show. Loved seeing Elektra. Bring on Season 3!

Finished it today, and appart from a tighter pulse around episodes 9-10, I felt muc much less invested in this than in season 1. As "fan service" it was probably alright (yes, I'm not talking about boobs shots but name/scene dropping to please the comic book fans), but as a solid narrative standing on its own, it was terrible. There was no original ideas, the direction was pretty dull, most of the fights stupid (that last one on the roofs against an army of ninjas was soooo cheap) : it was always either shot in dark corridors or from distance. The cast is still pretty good, no complain there, but the lack of ambition is really hurting. Also, that last voiceover to conclude the season where it says that Hell's Kitchen is the most dangerous place in the world, that really was counter productive...

I'm surprised there are so many folks here who didn't enjoy it. I was on the edge of my seat, and I loved the Punisher. I started afraid I would only see Bernthal as Shane, but when I was done, I saw Frank Castle. The plot got a little stretched with the conspiracy, but I really enjoyed the ride,

The plot got a little stretched with the conspiracy, but I really enjoyed the ride, +1 I agree that the "Blacksmith" plot was a little convoluted and the Hand was a slight letdown, but otherwise I thought it was stellar. Hands down the best live action portrayal of the Punisher (Bernthal deserves an Emmy nomination for the graveyard scene alone) and I thought everything from the production values to the fight choreography was an improvement over Season 1. I was looking forward to this for almost a year straight and didn't walk away disappointed.

I watched the first 2 eps of season 1 last night (signed up for the free month of netflix finally)
- I love they jumped in without spending a ton of time on the origin.. the little flashback sequences where perfect
- I haven't read much Miller DD, but doesn't he had an issue where there's a fight among shipping containers? I swear it seemed familiar
- Really like the fight scenes, but WAY too unrealistic in terms of the amount of damage he took. You just don't fight through two broken ribs and a punctured lung... it was over the top enough to be distracting
- Karen was much more interesting than she ever was in the comic
-Cute shout out to that plot when he gave his name as 'Mike' I'm not sure why you'd make the boxer his dad fought 'Creel' though.... especially since Absorbing Man is already in the MCU (he was in an Agents of Shield episode, and they named him)
Definitely good, but not better than Gotham (though this last half of season 2 is a definitely drop off so far).

Don't care if you like the Punisher or totally despise him, this is powerful stuff. Especially if you have kids of your own.

My reaction was much more positive, but with a lot of the same migivings that you list - I thought the fight choreography went far too much towards the cartoony over-the-top kung fu acrobatics rather than the more grounded stuff of the earlier series and in the Punisher thread.

I finished season 2 last night. I really, really enjoyed this show. I think it's leagues better than any other live action superhero show.

Best superhero show on TV, I agree, lobsterjohnson.
Although Jessica Jones is a close second.

It's got the same quality and aesthetics as Daredevil, but is its own thing as well; it's much less action-oriented, and delves more deeply with personal horror.
