One redesign I've always disliked is Wonder Man's safari jacket. I think it looks totally out of place in a superhero comics, where all the other characters are wearing the traditionally colourful skin-tight costumes. Who came up with that idea, I wonder? I liked the safari jacket. It was a refreshing change from all the skin-tight costumes.

Though, to be fair, none of his other costumes are particularly note-worthy.

When did he wear a safari jacket?

Not sure when he ditched it, but it lasted into the 200s.

This is my Wonder Man It's got more of an adventurer feel than the traditional super-hero type, so he stood out more.

Zatanna's Bad CostumeI've never, ever cared for this costume at all. All White doesn't do any good for her. I've prefer this look - it's a classy design and the best of her!

Except for those little red slippers, or whatever they're meant to be, I prefer the "bad", body-suit Zatanna costume to the "classy".
Re Wonder Man, I like all his costumes previous to the safari suit - the orignal, and even the much-maligned George Perez "Christmas tree".

The funny thing about that Cosmic Boy redesign is that it's basically his original costume with all the pink sections removed. It's almost as if the editor said, "Hey, can you get rid of all that pink in Cos' outfit?" and Grell took him literally.

The Princess Projectra and Saturn Girl costumes shown above are Cockrum's designs, not Grell's. And I think some of Dave's designs are as ugly and over the top as Mike's. I'm sure that's true, but I think Cockrum knocked it out of the park with most of those early X-Men designs.

I was literally blew my top when I saw these costumes. I'm glad there was a surgeon around to fix that in a hurry. I've been known to literally blow quite a few tops, and no surgeons were required (one of them was an opthalmologist , though).

If Mike Grell isn't the worst designer of Legion costumes, please alert the various news sources and give them the skinny on who is. Two examples: Night Girl and Cosmic Boy. Please don't force me to splain anything here... Totally appropriate for meeting with the president. I always thought that it was nice that somewhere in the next 1000 years the prudes would die out and people would no longer demonize sexuality.
