Let's see if we can connect Wally Wood and Dick Giordano...(unless someone beats me on the Sim/Robbins connection).

Let's see if we can connect Wally Wood and Dick Giordano...(unless someone beats me on the Sim/Robbins connection). -M Wally Wood inked Daredevil #164's cover, pencilled by Frank Miller, who co-authored issue #226 with Denny O'Neil, who got an early break at Charlton by-- wait for it-- Dick Giordano during his editorship there.

Alan Moore and Cary Bates collaborated on "Whatever Happened to the man of tomorrow" Cary Bates provided finished pencils for layouts by Carmine Infantino for a DC Treasury Edition (a Superman origin story)! If its not obvious I did use a fair amount of googling here. To give myself a tiny bit of credit, I kind of figured Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow might lead to underground comics via Moore and Carmine Infantino via Bates. You have writer Cary Bates confused with artist Curt Swan. It's Swan who penciled WHTTMOT? and the Superman origin you cited. Otherwise, your connections are spot on. Cei-U! I summon the case of mistaken identity! D'oh!! Good catch!! mea culpa, mea culpa

Beast, what's the next challenge?? Uh... How about Gene Ha & Carlos Ezquerra? Gene Ha wrote and drew the Iron Fist story in Marvel Knights Double Shot #4 with a cover by Glenn Fabry. Glenn Fabry did the cover for Adventures of the Rifle Brigade: Operations Bollocks #1 which was drawn by Carlos Ezquerra. -M

Let's try Mike Baron and Scott McCloud. -M Baron did The Punisher with Klaus Janson, who contributed a story to Batman Chronicles #12 ("Love Me 2 Times"); another contributor to that issue was Rick Burchett (with "Little Orphan Andy"), who worked with McCloud on Superman Adventures.

Adam Warren did work on The Authority. Seems like it wouldn't be hard to connect Warren Ellis to Alan Grant.

Alan Grant did Shadow of the Bat with Brian Stelfreeze covers. Stelfreeze assisted Karl Story with the inks on Aliens vs. Predator from Dark Horse. Story inked Adam Warren on Adam Warren's Dirty Pair: Fatal but not Serious #3.
