Alright no one chimed in, so next up....Harvey Kurtzman and Kevin Smith.... -M I might need a ruling on this one but after leaving MAD! Harvey Kurtzman started a short lived magazine called Trump which was financed by Hugh Hefner who years later allowed Kevin Smith to photograph his own wife(Jennifer Schwalbach Smith) for an issue of Playboy. Honestly, the picture of her with some dude in a Superman suit does nothing for me, but man how does a dude like Kevin Smith land a woman who has a body like that? I guess some ladies really go for a sense of humor and creativity Despite my lack of authority, in the interest of keeping the thread alive I'll suggest thwhtguardian's last answer is fine and propose that he come up with a new pair of creators to connect. I'm enjoying pondering connections (even if I frequently have to rely on google for help) and have been surprised at how few connections are often needed even for seemingly disparate artists. Learning some new stuff too, so hope we can keep it going for the time being.

OK a bit convoluted but here goes...
Murphy Anderson worked with Curt Swan on Action Comics/Superman during the 1970s
Curt Swan and Tom Grummett both worked on the Superman: Wedding Album one-shot in 1996
Tom Grummett and Chuck Dixon launched a Robin Series in 1993 (and also collaborated on a secret six one shot in '97)
Chuck Dixon and Mike Wieringo (RIP) worked on Robin together.
Mike Wieringo and Todd Dezago worked on Sensational Spiderman (as well as Tellos, published by image)
I liked the bit in wikipedia about Murphy Anderson noting that he was asked to redraw the heads of Jimmy Olsen & Superman during at least a part of Kirby's DC stint!!
Assuming I did not err and that nobody comes up with a quicker connection, I'll suggest we stick with Murphy Anderson, this time try connecting to Gray Morrow.

Max Alan Collins wrote Batman #402 with Jim Starlin on pencils.
Jim Starlin wrote Batman: Death in the Family with Jim Aparo on pencils.
Jim Aparo penciled the Adventure Comics Spectre series with Michael Fleischer as writer.

Petra Scotese worked on the story the Turtle by Mike Baron in the 1988 Amazing Adventures book. Baron did Nexus with Steve Rude. Rude inked Jack Kirby on the cover to Amazing Heroes #100 the Kirby tribute issue. Kirby and Joe Simon were long time partners creating tons o' comic stuff...

Assuming that's good, let's go with...
Steve Ditko and Marcos Martin.

Ditko & Wolfman worked on a story in Marvel Spotlight #5 Wolfman co-created Blade Goyer wrote the Blade screenplay Goyer and Martin worked on JSA #6
The Goyer/Wolfman connection might not count.

There's a way to get form Wolfman to Martin without involving the tenuous Goyer connection but it takes 2 steps-hint the artist on Wolfman's magnum opus and the a writer who has the same initials as Marv Wolfman. -M

That's even shorter, but tenuous (although less so than Goyer).

Once again, I have absolutely no right to throw out the next challenge, but no one else is doing so Okay, this one is COMPLETELY unfair. I acknowledge this. Indulge me, just the same: Stephen King to Yolande Pijcke
