Certainly falls in line with this thread, as the regular man either contemplating his superheroic life and/or future (in the form of the ghostly or imaginary alter-ego) was a popular, running theme.

Gil Kane ia all over the boards these days, but the covers below (hero racing toward crying child in the foreground while danger is nearby) are best suited for this thread...

Yeah, Mr. Fillmore East (aka Phil Maurice ) and I had a nice convo about these very covers awhile back (page 40) n this thread some months ago--not that I expect anyone to go through every. page. of. this. amazing. thread. classiccomics.org/post/190948/threadAnyway, since so many of the older posts here have since been decimated by Photo$%&!cket, I'm glad you posted the covers. I'll add the Frontline cover we referenced here too.

Christmas is only days away, so before the thoughtful, busy day arrives, here's an appropriately themed homage cover group-- Supersnipe Comics V3 #9 (1947) and DC's Limited Collectors' Edition C43 presents Christmas with the Super-Heroes (1976)

I wonder if they were dating when this was taken.
