Mera - Supporting Character to AquamanFirst of All: I wanted to share this with all of you here; I have always like this character for variety of reasons and one of them she is one of most glamorous redheads in DC Comics. I adore her long flowing red hair and most importantly - I wanted her to become a full-fledged Justice League of America member. She has lots to offer here and I just wanted to point that out to all members here. Amber Heard - I heard through the Grapevine that she is scheduled to play Aquaman's Wife in the Justice League Part 1 and the Upcoming Aquaman Movie after that. I feel that they made an excellent choice for her to play Mera and I just wanted to get that off my chest now and kind of looking forward seeing the movie when it's comes out in 2017. I think that she will do a great job portraying her. Amber Heard - Scheduled to play Mera in upcoming films Mera's First Appearance in Aquaman 11She quite versatile, capable, and one of the most powerful ladies in DC Comics; she is trained in an unique form of combat called Xebel and having said that she is quite formidable and have a tenacity to take on pretty anyone if she chooses. My Favorite Mera Story in Aquaman 22General StorylineWhen Mera’s own twin sister Hila is exiled with her lover Kandor for a crime that they did not commit, Kandor uses her to lure Aquaman into a trap to try to wrest from him the secret of the Seven Golden Eels. The Eels, when grasped, confer incredible powers on their holder. Aquaman refuses, and runs a gauntlet of deadly traps. Meanwhile, Mera’s water-shaping powers are restored by Professor Kreon of her dimensional world. Eventually, Kandor, Hila, Aquaman, and Mera find themselves allied in battle against the menacing Armadillo Men. After their victory, they are approached by Aqualad, who tells them that Kandor and Hira have been cleared of all their wrongdoings in their world. The two lovers decide to return home. This is my favorite story involving Mera.

Attention Members
I just got an e-mail from one of my older brother who informed me that my Dad has passed away at the age of 86 and now I'm no longer have my Parents anymore. My Mom passed away in 2012 and because of this shocking news and I was informed that he was doing so much better two days ago and utterly speechless knowing that he died in his sleep. He was in a temporary nursing home and was scheduled to go back home in a day or two and now died in his sleep unexpectedly.
So, without any further ado, I feel that this thread is suspended for further notice and I just don't know what to do next and my oldest brother is picking me up in a hour from now and we are going to talk about closing out his affair. He has the power of attorney and I'm his assistant.
I just don't know when I will be able to resume this thread and I already got 34 down and 16 to go. It's maybe 7 to 10 days before I will resume doing this thread. Maybe sooner ...
Anyway, my Dad has passed away about couple of hours ago in his sleep.

Mary Jane Watson - Supporting Character for Peter Parker and Spider-ManNote to All: I really prefer that Stacey Gwen to be Peter Parker's primary love life interest not Mary Jane because I really didn't care for her in the 1st place. I have mixed feelings about her and having said that; Mary Jane Watson to me more a footnote in Marvel Universe History and that's not the right way to treat her because eventually became Peter's wife and that's where I have great deal of frustrations with this particular character. I think this may be simply a generational thing. I was a child of the 70s, so to me, MJ was by far the more significant character and Gwen the footnote, just because of when I started reading. But even having since read all tbe Silver Age stuff several times over, I still think MJ is a far more interesting character. Gwen was just so bland in comparison. I agree that Gwen Stacy is quite bland in comparison to MJ, especially in the Romita/Lee and Gerry Conway eras (the Ditko Gwen, on the other hand, was a bit of a bitch or "cold prickly" and therefore a bit more interesting). But having said that, I like the two characters about equally actually.

Mera: Always liked Mera. She is pretty had her powers are interesting. I recently read the Aquaman tpb that reprints stories from the 70s including the death of their son. Mera is fascinating...being one of the few married heroines, serving as a queen and partner with Aquaman, losing a child, and the ups and downs of marriage. Her look is very memorable with that gorgeous red hair. Great character!

He was lucky to pass in his sleep. That's how most of us would like to go, but statistically it's only like 5% of people that get that luxury. Of course you and your family will miss him, but at least this was the best way to go.

My condolences to you as well Mecha. I know there's no good age to pass away at but hopefully you'll remember that the single, peaceful second during which your father drifted away doesn't undo the 86 years of life he had. Still, I realize this is a hard time for you and your family and I am sorry for your loss.

Lone Ranger 1949-1957He loves watching re-runs of this shows in the early 60's ... it was fun watching all together on a lazy Sunday afternoon and the whole family watch this show faithfully on Channel 11. A local TV Station from Tacoma WA.
