There's something that occurred to me this morning. Throughout Rebirth Wally's been saying that someone has stolen 10 Years from the DCU when Barry went through the Flashpoint. However, since the start of the New52 we've had two five Year Jumps the First was between the formation of the Justice League and the rest of the "Current" events...the next was a year later with the Zero issues where everyone jumps another five years. Just one five year jump. The 0 issues were "Year One" style flashbacks.

I was really hoping Goldie would be the new Streaky the Super Cat...but she lasted all of three pages before Jon Kent blasted her by accident with his heat vision while attempting to save her from a hawk. I was hoping rebirth would move away from that kind of thing.

I really enjoyed the Rebirth special and Action #957, but Superman #1 took a turn for the morbid that I'm hoping won't derail the good momentum the Super books have built so far.

It was something that was especially surprising coming from the creative team that previously embraced Alfred the cat and Batcow. I mean, I get what they were going for but I think there could have been a better way to teach Jon about the dangers of his powers.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now, but if we see a doped up Roy Harper beat someone with Goldie's corpse I'm out.

I think that's gotta be one of the lowest moments in comics, and I hope not to go back to that.

I can't be right every time.

Just updated the Post-Rebirth Flash Family Tree Pre-Flashpoint Original New52 Personal Revision to allow for Classic Wally Current Family Tree as it stands...

I thought maybe he would fly after the hawk but I guess since he was mad, he used his heat vision instead. Yeah, that scene was a mood killer right there. Couple that with the neighbor's daughter with the bug eyes who saw him do it and Jon didn't even tell anyone what happened. Just keep on letting Mom wonder where the cat got off to, why don't you? Jessica Cruz is the biggest draw for my reading the new GL title. I liked her in the Darksied War story and I'm interested to see how she does in her new role. My knowledge of Simon Baz is shaky at best, apparently still dealing with consequences of terrorist charges with Waller threatening him over wanting him to reveal more details/secrets about the Corp. Simon can now receive prophetic visions via his ring, called 'Emerald Sight' (which sounds more like something Lion-O should do) Up next, Titans and what is Wally is doing now...

He hasn't learned just yet, nor can he do the super jump either.

Have to say I like the simple bold strong look of this logo on their covers. I still see the Superman influence but fail to see Batman or Wonder Woman here at all and would love someone who does that either one of those aspects to edu-ma-cate me on the finer points my caveman vision is missing.

Well, the colors evoke to me Batman and the upper outer edges evoke the edges of WW. I also see two pointy ears within the letters, and with all those evoked triangles, well, it screams trinity. I don't know, I think it works great. Honestly, from a design POV, I loved the previous logo, one of the most clever design to ever grace comic books. Yet, it lacked a nostalgia factor that you sometimes crave for. This new one has it, and some small details that show it's not just an old one, it might be timeless, which would be great. At least it more interesting then most of the other companies logos.

Thanks for pointing out those points. I kind of see it now.
It's bold and clean and really stands out. It's def grown on me.
