It's hard to say with so many of them running around; we have the pre-flashpoint Clark, we have the ashes of what may be the nu-52 Superman(or possibly the previously introduced Nu-52 Sandman Superman) and a guy who looks like Clark but either refuses to use his powers or doesn't have them. They actually brought back the Sand superman? That has got to e scraping the bottom of the barrel! I loved the original Sand Man Superman story myself, and if the newer version hadn't been so darn drawn out it would have been decent, but yes they brought him back...right before the story where Superman "died". Now obviously I don't know if the Superman who died is the Sandman one, but it would be pretty convenient. I mean, in the previous story Clark was losing his powers thanks to his doppelganger, and although thanks to some kryptonite chemo-therapy and a sun bath he appeared to get them back it could be that he really didn't but rather convinced the Sandman that there needed to be a Superman. It's a little convuluted but I think it could be serviceable if it did indeed play out that way.

I love that idea and I love the whole Sand-Superman thing.
It's like the Spider-Clone thing, which despite the published results, was a great idea.

After reading some of the Rebirth issues, and especially this one lately (bringing back Wally officially), I am in the mood for reading new comic books again.

I had totally forgotten I had got a bunch of rebirth (DCBS had them really cheap). Action and Superman were both pretty good, but I think Jon is going to have a short shelf life... I can't really see him being interesting long term unless they let him grow up.
Hopefully they won't spend too long on the whole identity thing, as they could get old fast.
I actually didn't think the Goldie thing was as bad as I thought it would be... it was jarring, but not as much as it could have been.

Read rebirth and in a nutshell, enjoyed it quite a bit and I'm intrigued. I caved and dipped back into the DC waters with batman rebirth. I was pleasantly surprised by it too and will give batman another chance. As a result of above i also tested detective and even action comics. Other than a few nitpicks (mainly batwoman) I'm willing to see if my interest holds and buy more. I'm most surprised by and interested in action. I'm completely lost with no idea what's going on, but it has my interest. We'll see what happens and how long it lasts, but for right now it's nice to have some regular DC books again besides the ocational odds and ends after last few years. Not sure I'm ready / willing to jump on anything else though unless or until I hear lots of great things.

Read a bunch of the stuff I got on sale:
Aquaman - I really liked the set up with the embassy and such, then they ruined it with Black Manta. Pass.
Flash - I still think Barry Allen's boring.. Glad Wally's back, but seems like he's mostly going to be in the Titans book.
Wonder Woman - Having the character go on an origin quest when we don't know what the origin is? Unique, but not particularly interesting.
Batman/Detective - This felt alot like Iron Man to me with Alfred constantly looking stuff up in the cave. No interest in Duke as not-Robin.. he seems too much like Tim Drake to me. The whole 'team Bat' thing is OK, but all the characters I like are in Burnside on Batgirl's team.. it works better over there. Also, the Colony sounds alot like a repeat of the Court of Owls.. pass.
Titans - Not bad.. glad the Titans exist again, but the time like is still a mess... it seems they're replacing Raven with Lillith. And where's Starfire? They acknowledge she had a relationship with Dick at least in her comic. An explanation of why Roy dumped his 'best friend' Jason Todd would be welcome as well. I assume the New 52 Titans are going to be the "Teen Titans' and these guys are just the 'Titans'. They may suck me in for a couple issues (especially since I like Abnett), but I don't love it.
Green Lanterns - We got plenty of good ones, these ones feel like pandering, and I'm SO done with the rainbow colors. Pass
Green Arrow - didn't feel right... most of the others at least felt like the new continuity made sense.. it was weird here. Not sure why.
So while nothing was terrible, not alot inspired me to read more either.

I went and checked out the first few Superman Rebirth issues and have been pleasantly surprised, it's got potential to be the best run since Johns and Busiek were writing the books. Dan Jergens has proven that he gets Superman and would be the best guy to do a sequel to the Death of Superman as he was such a guy guy in that storyline, which still holds up well as Post-Bronze age style superhero stories. Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason are starting to have a pretty impressive resume together. Their Green Lantern Corps I thought was better than Johns Green Lantern (even though I bailed on those back early in Blackest Night). I thought while kinda de-compressed for monthly comics that their Batman work especially on Batman & Robin was pretty decent and in line with what was going before the New 52 reboot.
As with New 52 era Batman, I think the artwork is nice but the stories just seem a bit off. I'm not against doing a Batman Family team comic in Detective, after all Detective absorbed the clasic series, but the total amount of side kicks and other characters is really starting to crowd Batman out of his own comics.

I did a sampling of DC Rebirth yesterday at my Comic Book Store and what Wildfire2099 said here in this thread basically sums up my feeling about the various titles and I sampled about 8 to 12 of them and I walked away feeling very unimpressed and decided not to pursue them for any reasons whatsoever.
I'm very disappointed in DC Comics these days.
