How many names are left, in that list? Cersei, Walder Frey... the rest are dead already. Ilyn Payne has been on an off the list, I don't know what the current status is. I think she'll go for Frey first, whether she crosses her path with the Hound en route, is a variable. Tyrion was more interesting in Westeros, even in a cell. The visits he entertained there were more interesting than any interaction he's enjoyed ever since, except for Varys The now almost obsolete list was mainly to keep her motivated, granted, but I sort of view all the remaining Frey's as comprising their own special list after the Red Wedding. I'd be shocked if she was the one to take out Cersei, if Cersei does meet her demise at all. I think it's almost a given that Arya will meet the Hound again. I'd be mildly shocked if they don't join up, but it's also possible that she heads straight for John Snow and Sansa. We shall see. Totally agree about Tyrion. It's slightly irritating since I think he's the best character on the show. If they could have kept him with Varys and gave us more of their interplay I would have been much happier.

Episode 9...speechless.
There was a real movie quality feel to this episode, from the impressive Dragon CGI to the extremely epic Battle for Winterfell. By far my favorite episode from Season 6 and quite possibly of the whole series. It was just that good.

By far my favorite episode from Season 6 and quite possibly of the whole series. From season 6, yes. The battle was chaotic, which feels about right. I still prefer the battle of Blackwater, though.

I'm hungry. I fancy a snack. Anyone for baked sparrow? Or maybe this mystery meat, which I gather tastes quite like chicken...

I think this has been my favorite season thus far. Less Tyrion than I would have liked, and some odd teleporting going around, but for the first time I feel like the shocking and not-so-shocking deaths were counterbalanced by the payoffs.
Hardhome remains my favorite battle, followed by 'the bastards' from last episode and the Blackwater.

Uncle Benjen is dead? I guess his horse must be, too, that would explain its supernatural strength.

Uncle Benjen is dead? I guess his horse must be, too, that would explain its supernatural strength. You didn't work that out before? The man was whiter than latter day Michael Jackson! He was either dead or auditioning for a part in The Mikado...

Well, walking dead in this show aren't very talkative, so no, I didn't.

Wow, that was a big way to end the season. {Spoiler: Click to show}It's hard to blame Tommen for not wanting to live in world where he missed his shot for some..err.. quality time...with Margery Tyrell.
Cersei with nothing left to lose is a scary prospect.

Joffrey...Tommen...Rickon...Princess Shireen...I really think the NSPCC need to start taking more of an interest in the seven kingdoms...

Cersei with nothing left to lose is a scary prospect. Jamie certainly looked worried.

Amazing finale. Just fantastic. Loved this Season!
Let's count the dead:
Tommen Baratheon Margaery Tyrell High Sparrow Septa Unella Kevan Lannister Grand Maester Pycelle Loras Tyrell Mace Tyrell Lancel Lannister Walder Frey
Hard to imagine Cersei took all but two of those names out, although she can probably be blamed for Tommen's death as well. Insidious.
They seem to be setting this up as a War of Queens, but Daenerys' army looks so overpowered I don't see how anything on Westeros can survive that onslaught. Although I'm sure the army of the White Walkers will be involved in some fashion, which should make it all very interesting.
Final thoughts:
That moment between Daenerys and Tyrion was just charming. Watching that little dwarf kneel to the Queen is something else.
Littlefinger is such a doofus.
Lady Mormont is precious, ain't she?
Questions:
How did Arya change her face? I had thought she had renounced the Faceless God.
The flashback with young Ned and Lyanna and baby...Jon? Did they just reveal he is half Targaryen? This is huge.
How did Varys sail to Dorne and then get all the way back to Meereen in time to...travel back to Dorne. Makes no sense.
--------------
Great Season! Can't wait for next season although I wish it would never end.

I didn't watch the season (I think I want to wait for the books) but I do keep track of spoilers (which perhaps defeats the purpose)....
One thing that suprises me is Sansa.. she's pretty much useless in the books. I have always thought the REAL main conflict was going to be the Dragons vs. the White Walkers.. I think Dany being queen is a given... she may not last long, but she'll get there. They're really running out of characters to kill, though.. they've pretty much destroyed a whole generation of royalty... it'd be an interesting follow up series to see what impact that has.

Can't wait for next season although I wish it would never end. Unella isn't dead yet, she only wishes for it. And you forgot about Walder's sons (who get baked like the ones in Bran's tale). Pycelle is killed by Dr. Frankestein's minions, we don't actually know if he's following orders, or fulfilling a personal vendetta. As for Lancel... that's a though one, a variant of a thought experiment used in philosophy, to illustrate the following semantic quandary: if someone dies as a result of collateral damage, following a plan that ultimately would end with that person dead, is it murder or manslaughter? Daenerys' army looks like overkill, specially considering that Varys is already securing Dorne and Highgarden as allies. With all that and the rebellion in the North, the Lanisters don't stand a chance. Obviously, the real war will come after that, as they've been saying for quite a while now. We'll know what Littlefinger really is, right before Sansa kills him (or he kills her), not earlier. That story isn't going to end well. Arya renounced being no-one, whatever she's learnt and whatever she's taken from the House of Black & White, she intends on using for her revenge. That's why she went to Braavos in the first place. We don't know if Rhaegar is the father; he took her, but we aren't privy to what happened afterwards. He's a busy bird

Binge watched Season 6 over the weekend. The casting call for this series must be hard: hi, we are hiring you for this incredible character arc where people will truly hate you but cheer your death the next season, are you interested? It truly should come with warnings that don't become to attached to any one character since it is most likely the more you like them then they are doomed to die. And incredible deaths they are for sure.
This series truly does show the harsh, violent depths in the reality of war far more than any series or movie does. The women of GoT are seriously underestimated and the men pay for that every time. Cersei sitting upon the throne should really scare the shit out of folks considering all she has accomplished from behind the throne. Gonna be some dangerous times ahead when she and the Mother of Dragons confront each other. The battle of the Bastards was all kinds of craziness as to be expected. Ramsay shows how evil and conniving a shit he is and in the end just how weak and cowardly he truly is. the houses of the North do so pledge their allegiance to the King of the North in preparing to battle the White Walkers. Queen Daenerys continues to build her army as she prepares to confront Westeros. Arya Stark begins to shorten her list as Brandon grows into his powers. Hell of a season!
I have the 7th season and am holding off on watching that one for a little while. So much to take in and savor this last season and don't want to rush into the next. If you had told me over 15 years ago when I began reading the 1st novel that it would one day be a television show I would have said you were crazy and that it could never be done properly or given justice to the novel. Yet here we are with an incredible and amazing show that draws you in and forces you to watch every moment. Even though the series now has begun to diverge into it's own thing since George R. R. Martin has yet to finish the story the writers and crew for GoT is delivering one spectacular conclusion that everyone is waiting to see...
