Thanks, dupont. Ok on to the second wave.... Starting with the rooms that got covered earlier, but which had missing photos.... those Buddhas and the Tahitian teak carving I mentioned... Amy's desk guardians (heavy on the Rocket) and her magnet collection on the fridge... and the front... -M

My contribution to her magnets...the good doctor... a closer look at some of the magnets...left top right top next row... The magnet covering the bananas (we don't want to frighten off DE Sinclair now), is a Cygann magnet that we make and sell at cons with the Studio. Amy is a big fan of Heather Kreiter who does the demon ponies and ponies of the apocalyse stuff. We see here every year at Origins and pick up whatever new magnets she has. Magnets are a great way to support artists on artist alley you like if you don't have a lot of cash to spend as most run only a couple of three bucks. beware the Cheese Weasel...Amy's favorite children's book form her childhood is Never Tease a Weasel, and the Cheese Weasel just reminds her of it, so all hail the Cheese Weasel (a gaming mascot for a company we see all the time at gaming cons). -M

Now back to the comics room... we left off going around the room with the one corner where the Steranko and Adams framed issues were and beneath we glimpsed a shelf of comics...these are them... top shelf...my oldest floppies, everything pre-1969 is in the first row by year, behind the Action 1 Millennium Edition, starting with the second row it goes monthly... second shelf-I have a lot of early bronze issues of Action, so because each month is alphabetical, a lot of Action covers are front and center... third shelf... fourth shelf... I love old comic covers and I hate hiding stuff in boxes, so I used the lids on the bookshelf to be able to display some facing out covers visible. You get less efficient storage, but more pleasing visuals. I don't have space to do it all like that, so I picked the earliest books to display that way. -M

In the corner next to that shelf, I have mt museum replica Templar Sword... Above that is the tin replica of the Thor issue featuring Galactus' origin, and the limited Alex Ross print of the cover to Avengers #4, you can see my treasury and oversized books on the shelf there too... above the window there is a couple of framed classic Silver Age Spectre appearances.... -M

Under the window is another cube storage unit... here's the top shelf... The basket was a nice Wal-Mart find, they wrk well to hold and display comics and be able to flip through them. In the basket is most of my comics from 1977, the Golden Year for me as it was when I really got into comics with the Bride of Ultron and Death of Thanos stories in Avengers; I was 8. In the cubes, we have an Eisner shelf, complete with Spirit action figure I love the block lettering and tombstone that came with it. It has a swappable head, one with hat, one without but with bruises and black eye added. Below that is some miscellaneous trades, guarded by a big cat; it'a ceramic piece I painted for my grandfather in '81, and when he passed it was given back to me as a memento. It's probably one of my most cherished possessions, even with everything else you see in the room, it means more to me than all of them. more miscellaneous trades... -M

More trades...Vertigo, Crossgen, etc. on this shelf, my pulps, Alan Moore, and more....including a deck of FF playing cards... some prose books guarded by Daredevil, a Diamond direct figure. It's Mike Carey's Felix Castor stuff, the Micronauts prose novel I have, Englehart's novel Point Man and some other stuff... More prose, Fritz Leiber guarded by a Diamond Direct Iron Man figure... and the last cube is Star Wars and Star Trek trades, with room for overflow from other shelves.... -M

On the other side of the window, we have a tall round rack and the DC shelf. on top of the round rack is our wedding topper, a wedding pic, and behind those you can see a postcard with the cover of Action #1. Below them on the rack is a trio of blurry dragons... below that is the pair of original Basic and Expert D&D booklets, each signed by Erol Otus at Gen Con in 2007. Otus is one of the legendary D&D artists. On the floor is my djembe, as both Amy and I love tribal percussion. On the top of the rack is a smaller djembe with some Heroclix of DC heroines on it, on the wall you can see the Perez JLA postcard featuring Red Tornado (it's the only one form the set I have) and a pair of chibi-like cariactures of Hawkman and Hawkgirl I picke dup at Origins for a buck each. -M

Above Tornado is a new piece, the Batwoman bombshell cover, I love the 40's propaganda/pin up art of the bombshell covers, and it combines baseball and comics, so it was a must get for me.... above that is a animation style print of Supergirl and Batgirl by Dan Davis that I got form hima nnd sgned when I met him at Gem City last year and over from that, above the DC shelf, we have the DC mistresses of magic, Zatanna and Xanadu-Morrow on Zee, Kaluta on Xanadu and a Zee bombshell variant cover form JL Dark. -M

Kingdom Come is one of her favorites, and why she is such a huge fan of Ross' art. -M
