I love the cat, and the story to go with it. Also, your collection is HUGE! Thanks, man. I've had that cat since my grandfather passed in '84, it's been through every move I made and is always the most carefully packed item. -M

Okay, after some yummy homemade pizza it's on to the studio... You saw the door to the studio...this is what happens when you open it... and a close up of my desk.... with the Hawkmen figures I mentioned, plus Ghost Rider watching over it all. -M

So you all know I like Doctor Strange..... and if you look behind the Strange Tales Index... plus a Doc Strange patch from the 80's, if only I still had a jean jacket to sew it on -M

The studio is still the spare bedroom, and housed most of Amy's collections before we converted it to studio space. You can still see a lot of it in there.... that's her fencing foils on top of the hutch... Ren Faire tankards and mugs.... -M

But I have certainly added my touches to the room as well.... Wonder Woman bombshell variants.... more classic Strange books, framed... with Amy's Mardi Gras mask... and these are two of the Charles Vess prints form the Ballads and Saga portfolio, again there are more but I only have so much room... -M

But it is a studio space for a reason, I do work there.... The latest handwritten script for Cygann from writer/artist Stacy Gaston, for issue #6, I got it on Saturday and need to edit and type it up for the letterer. The current page I am working on the pencils for... an earlier version of the page I wasn't happy with, but I was working on this at a Con and the self-publishing writer at the next table looked at it and said he would hire me to draw one of his books based on it if I was interested...if I am going to pencil something though, it's going to be something of my own...and frankly I don't know what he was smoking, as I don't think it's that good... but I keep working at it...some art references and the wacom tablet I use for lettering and likely for inking when I get around to it... It's Amy's old tablet, she upgraded and I inherited the old one, which I am still just barely learning the ropes of.. and when it is time for a show....it's a convention in a box... all our table display items, tablecloths, issues to sell, magnets, print,s etc. stored in the box to be packed into the car when we need to do an appearance. -M

And that's it for now...but it's not all the stuff scarily. I still have a finished room in the basement with lots of gaming stuff, a shelf with about 10 short boxes of X-books that are Amy's collection, several prints and posters, shelves of novels and non-fiction, and a crap-ton of gaming miniatures that is a total chaotic mess and needs redone and resorted. No pics of that stuff til the basement is redone.

Seriously, your house is a dream come true.

Dude, can I come live at your place? Seriously, your house is a dream come true. It helps having a wife into the stuff as well. She is not so much into comics themselves (a little but not a lot) but is a big gamer and art fan, and loves all fantasy sci-fi genre stuff except horror. It also helps not having vices that cost $$ outside of comics/gaming. My wife has always said if we came into money she would want to get a big ole farmhouse where a community of like minded folk could gather, and I am sure all the stuff in our current house would make it out there too...so the more the merrier -M

Thanks for sharing it.
