Holy Smokes! I had no idea you were a Robot toy fan. That's quite a collection! Would love to see some of those up close.
Fair enough
Here comes my toy collection up close:
Long ago, I converted a Captain Power playset into a Batcave. I like it better than any of the official Batcaves that have been released over the years.
My Bionic Six Secret Laboratory. I was a massive Bionic Six fan as a kid, though few people remember the short-lived series and toy line. This is one of only three Secret Laboratories that I know to exist in the world. I'm not sure what the story is, but the playset never had a wide release. I have no idea how many were ever manufactured, but it cost me a small fortune to get my hands on this one.
I store most of my figures in containers like these. Below are my Star Trek ships, a futuristic vehicle that was my favorite thing ever when I was a kid (tracking it down was no easy task -- it was made by some cheap company no one has ever heard of), (most of) my Star Trek: Next Gen and DS9 stuff, (most of) my Justice League Unlimited figures, and my Super Powers and Secret Wars figures.
The rest of my Bionic Six collection, as well as most of my smaller vehicles (in the containers). Note: disassembled TIE fighters store far more easily.
My M.A.S.K., Starcom, Transformers Minicons
The new Transformers Metroplex, holding a third party reproduction of the ultra rare Japanese exclusive Transformers G1 Starsaber, and a 1980s-futuristic Playmobil playset I just couldn't pass up (even though I don't usually collect them)
Super Train Megazord and some Star Wars vehicles. I'm not a fan of the prequels on principal, but I love my Royal Starship.
My Transformers G1 Autobots. My collection used to be A LOT bigger, but I only kept what I really loved, and that's these guys. You'll note a clear Optimus Prime on top of the box. I had a phase where I was obsessed with collecting variants on the G1 Optimus Prime. You'll see some others later in these pics (as well as his transparent trailer).
G1 Metroplex, (KO) Metrotitan, and one of the gems of my collection -- an officially licensed Korean G2 Optimus Prime at 1.5 scale and white. It took me years to track this thing down after seeing a pic of one online. Getting it was one of the harder things I've ever done. I had to work through all sorts of middle men from Taiwan and Korea. It was insane. He does have a trailer, but it's so massive that I had to put it on another shelf.
You'll also notice some of my G1 Seekers here, each accompanied by a Type 1 Diaclone Pilot. NOT easy to acquire, but well worth it.
It should be obvious by this point that I really like having armadas of Transforming robot jets. Here are all my reissue 1/55 Bandai Valkyries, as well as more G1 seeker jets with Diaclone pilots.
My Chogokin shelf. I used to have A LOT more of these, but, when money got tight, they were some of the first things to go.
Transformers G1 Headmasters, G1 Countdown playset, and my Takara Brave Fire Dagwon (at a slightly larger scale than the original release; it's a high quality KO)
Assorted Decepticons, Dinobots, and misc. My all black G1 Optimus Prime variant is also present.
Assorted larger robots, and my Chogokin Dyjupiter (which didn't fit on the Chogokin shelf above)
All that's left of my once World renowned Diaclone collection. When money got tight, they just weren't worth the money to me anymore. They almost paid for a baby nursery by themselves. Behind them are ALL of my Optimus Prime trailers (since I have quite a few variants)
Assorted large robots. I had to remove Voltron I's mid-section in order to make him fit. The robot in the center is one of my favorites of all time: the Takara Brave Great Goldran. Best combiner ever built, and VERY hard to get a hold of now.
The beginning of my legion of Transformers Classics seeker jets (many of them in colors never officially released -- they're KOs), as well as some more bins of action figures.
More seekers; more action figures
More seekers; more action figures
Original Fortress Maximus (painstakingly restored -- I saved forever to buy one that had survived a house fire and brought it back to pretty impressive condition with a lot of work!), and my new Star Wars AT-AT, inhabited by Remco Universal Monster figures.
Some vinyl superheroes I've picked up over the years.
My Star Wars (original trilogy) shelf. The smaller vehicles are kept in bins.
There's a lot more than this -- playsets and vehicles shoved into corners and crevices wherever possible, but you get the gist.
