Favorite Scans of Jean Grey Part 6 of 6From X-Men #132 and I just amazed how powerful Jean's Powers are when she able to control Scott's Optic Blasts while romancing him in the due process here. Very Romantic and Loving Scene here ... I will be moving on to Number 25 sometimes on Monday and give myself a break for tomorrow ... That's all on Jean Grey my favorite redhead in Comicdom History! I will be changing my Avatar on Monday!

Tomorrow, I will do #25 and share only 3 pictures for that Character from DC Comics and that's would be first and the last thing I do with it. Then, I will start on #24 when I do get a chance to do so.
I'm halfway to #1!

Jean Grey is like Wolverine and, heck, pretty much all of the X-Men in that I used to like them, but the ridiculous goings on of the past 25-30 years have left a bad taste in my mouth and soured me on them a bit.

#25 Martian Manhunter - DC Comics CharacterNote to All: I have two water polo matches tomorrow (a double match) and I'm going to be very limited online tomorrow and I wanted to start on the Martian Manhunter today. I only knew him through the ranks of the Justice League, House of Mystery, and several other titles that I feel that they are not worthy of his stature and find those titles that appeared throughout the ages inferior in many ways more than one. I'm somewhat familiar with the House of Mystery Series and I have mixed feelings about several of the issues that I seen and I'll not elaborate them because I consider them silly and not my cup of tea. The art is fairly good, and sometimes it's surprises me ... it's the content and the writing that let me down. To me, he is the heart and soul of the Justice League of America and knowing that I feel that he is one of the many reasons that I liked about the early days of the Justice League when he was an original member and member of the Satellite Era of the Justice League and knowing that I'm a big fan of his appearances and I'm so sad that he isn't a part of the Justice League Movie that's coming out next year. To me, he is the most unappreciated Superhero that DC Comics ever had and they don't even give him a decent rouge gallery like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and others that worthy of his talents and wide range of Super Powers that makes Superman Jealous. When DC launch New52 and I was eagerly awaiting for the New52 version of the Justice League and I was stunned by brash decision to remove Martian Manhunter with Cyborg and to me Cyborg belongs in the Teen Titans. I'm not a fan of Cyborg at all and I consider him a C List Character at best. When this team appeared - This Justice League Fan stopped buying it altogether. Later on, a few months and even a year away they started creating another Justice League Team that featured Martian Manhunter and having said that it is by far the worst team ever created. Green Lantern Simon Baz: This Green Lantern had a gun and that's make me ill when he has a powerful weapon in his hand. Stargirl: C Lister at her best. Hawkman: B Lister at his best. Vibe: I hate this character when he appeared for the first time. Catwoman: DC Comics had the nerve to put her on the team and this really cut the cake and I was very disapponted in that. Colonel Steve Trevor: He was the Field Leader for the Team and I was scratching my head what the world DC Comics is thinking. Martian Manhunter: Only Logical and True Choice here. Katana: A virtual unknown to me and I really do not know anything about her. Green Arrow: He offered stability and support and nothing else. I read about 3-5 issues and gave up and having said that I was kind of irritated that they put together this team and I was hoping that DC Comics will redeemed itself by having this team in the first place. Knowing that they did this makes me wonder what in the world they are thinking. With all this in mind, I lost faith in DC Comics and the only other book that was good was Aquaman and later on Batman 66 and Wonder Woman 77. After this Justice League Team existed a year (and some odd months) later I dropped both Aquaman and Wonder Woman 77 altogether and left ... Batman 66 the only book that I read from DC Comics. Batman 66 Meets Steed and Mrs Peel is fantastic! Sad to say this, this is all the Martian Manhunter that I will be sharing and i try to move on to #24 when I get a chance later on this week.

I just can't believe there isn't a Jean Grey Fan here ... Unbelievable! IMO Marvel "ruined" the X-Men. I liked them until they undid Jean's death. I started to lose interest because it was handled so poorly that it cheapened her sacrifice & made Scott a total jerk.

MM is the heart of the JLA & is an awesome hero. DC drove me away with the new52 with a few exceptions (Aquaman being one of them). So far I am enjoying DC Rebirth although I wished they would have restored the original 7 in the JLA. I liked MM in the JLA cartoon. I was hoping you would mention his portrayal there.

I'm referring to the good ole days and I haven't read Marvel Comics since 2010 and I did not know that they did this to her and made Scott a jerk. Honest. I'm talking the X-Men in the 60's and 70's here and nothing more and nothing less.

Martian Manhunter in the JLA Cartoon was unreal and I've omit it because that's the only good thing about it and I want to attack DC Comics for making him a nobody and that alone makes me ill. You are right on the nose that his cartoon was fantastic and done just right.

Unfortunately both Marvel & DC cheapened a lot of legendary characters in the last 25 years with bad writing.

Favorite Scans of Jean Grey Part 3 of 6My Comic Book store have this book for $18 and I will be picking it up next Friday. X-Man was a supermodel and a highly successful one indeed and enjoy these pictures ... Whenever I see a page or panel like this I always think what a shame it was Don Heck had to waste his talent on a superhero genre that was so incompatible with it. Just this one splash page makes me realise that I would love to have seen a Don Heck series about the fashion industry. Which makes me wonder: did he do any romance comics? He must have, I imagine, since all the artists of that generation seem to have done a bit of everything at one time or another. I'm thinking they're probably worth seeking out.
