Personal Thoughts on Wonder WomanOver the course of the next three days I will share my own perspective on this Super Heroine that's fascinated me for a very long time and had very little interest in her comic books until now, I'm enjoying the Wonder Woman 77 books more now than I did in the past; I did not like Brian Azzarello's take on her and I was disappointed in Gail Simone leaving so soon and I tried my best to enjoy the Superman/Wonder Woman book and having said that I had mixed feelings about it that eventually turned to the worst. I read a lot of her books in the Golden Age of Comics and not in the Silver Age because I gotten tired of her and that's the same with Batman and Superman too. My love of Wonder Woman was centered on this version and this version alone - see picture below you! I liked her in a skirt it's invokes femininity and goodness about her and having said that I felt at home with her and her adventures with the Justice Society of America. I read 80-120 books from Sensational Comics and another 30-50 books from All-Star Comics and that was my fix of the Amazon Princess back in the 60's and 70's and that's my period of Wonder Woman's Readings. I adore Lynda Carter when she did Wonder Woman for three seasons and the Super Friends Cartoon Show of which Shannon Farnon protrayed her in animated form of which I'll share that in a few minutes ahead. I will be covering a lot of ground and I will try to post several posts these three days ahead and I'll be hitting this thread for the next three days exclusively and sharing everything about the Amazing Amazon from Paradise Island. So, sit back and enjoy the ride with Wonder Woman!

Hollywood Actresses - Would be Great for Wonder WomanPart 1 of 2Jane RussellWhen, I first saw this photo that was photo-shopped to a degree - I was stunned to see how good she looked in that costume and I floored to see that - she does have the body to play her and I felt that she would be a natural to play the part. She would be almost perfection. She would be my first choice until Taylor came into play and I felt both Jane Russell and Elizabeth Taylor are born to play Wonder Woman! Elizabeth TaylorOnly one thing that's a bad mark for her to play Wonder Woman is her height - She's stands 5'2" ... Russell stands at 5'7" and get away with elevated heels/shoes but Taylor would had even higher marks for facial beauty and grace. I feel that both Jane Russell and Elizabeth Taylor are excellent choices and I would not matters me one bit if they got the part ... to me they both deserve it. Taylor is a stunning lady and no questioned that she would be a great Wonder Woman in a classic movie. So they both tied in 1st Place!

Shannon Farnon - SuperfriendsRecent Picture of her - She's 74 years old! Wonder Woman Clips from the Super Friends - 1973 Her voice on the Super Friends for nearly 10 years was my ultimate joy of hearing on the Television Sets in the 70's and to the early 80's and there is no other person that did the job perfectly than Shannon. I find her voice commanding, assuring, and straight-forward as her role as the Amazing Amazon that played a founding role of the Super Friends that featured Superman, Batman and Robin, and Aquaman - with Wendy and Marvin - and of course Wonder Dog too ... and later on Zan and Jayna with Gleek. She did the part with great distinction and admiration. My dear friend Jeff met her once about 12 years ago and he find her friendly, informative, and loves meeting fans of her animated form of Wonder Woman. He walked away with a smile on his face and got her autograph on a computer printed picture of Wonder Woman off his computer back then. Shannon is a class act and a very gracious lady that loves her fans on that show.

Cathy Lee Crosby 1974 Film - Wonder WomanCathy Lee Crosby as Wonder WomanTop Row, Left to RightRicardo Montalban as Abner Smith and Kaz Garas as Steve Trevor with Diana (Cathy Lee Crosby) Prince Bottom Row, Left to RightAndrew Prine as George Calvin and Anitra Ford as Ahnjayla Trailer for this Movie back in 1974Ricardo was the main villain and Andrew was his chief Henchmen and along two hippies that I didn't care for in this movie and her boss played by Kaz as Steve Trevor did a below average job as her superior and Anitra was a good foil for Cathy Lee and I often wonder how she got in our world because on Paradise Island - No man allowed there and how in the world she got here and not having seen this movie in more than 36 years - I've really do not want to know about it. I loved it when I was young and I did managed to watch it two more times after the 1974 release and the last time I saw this movie is right at the time MORE, WILD, WILD, WEST the 2nd Made for TV Movie starring Robert Conrad and Ross Martin and that was in 1980 and I'm not kidding either. I have so many issues with this movie and having said that I was surprised to see an actor of Ricardo Montalban's reputation to take a crack at this project in the first place. The rest of the actors - was my first time I ever seen them in television and they did not do me any justice at all including the lovely Anitra Ford of whom that I did not considered her a great actress and did see her in Baretta and the Street of San Francisco in the seventies. I just wanted to honestly say that this movie is a sub-standard as it's gets and one thing for sure it's a bit too hip and modern for me and I have a hard time watching it back in 1980 after been existing for six years and I was 21 years old when MORE, WILD, WILD, WEST was on and my older brothers who occasionally read Comic Books too watched this movie with me and this movie totally ignored the Comic Books and destroyed all facts of Wonder Woman completely. We talked about this movie in general afterwards over Ice Cream and came to the conclusion this movie is sub standard and should be treated as that. I would give Ricardo and Cathy Lee Good Grades for their part in this movie and the all the other actors and actresses including Ms Ford a dismal grade because it's joke and sorry all of you Cathy Lee Crosby fans that I find this movie and I will give it a Grade of .... D

Best Action Photos of Lynda Carter First Season of Wonder WomanThese three are my top three in no particular order of the best action photos from her 1st Season of Wonder Woman that I enjoyed the most - I rather have the 1st Season over the last 2 seasons of Wonder Woman any day because I find the costume more becoming on her. Enjoy these photos here!

My Personal Thoughts of Lynda Carter playing Wonder Woman
She was born to play the Amazon Princess and certainty filled the bill in perfection and I was stunned how much she looked like all the various Wonder Woman(s) in the various comic books that DC Comics published on the monthly basis and I just can't believe that Lynda Carter in the first season brought her to Life.
In my first impression of Wonder Woman being played by Lynda Carter - I was speechless and numb at the same time seeing how well ABC Studio casts her for this part. The more I think about it and with Christopher Reeve as Superman - I wished there were a Justice League of America Movie back then with these two iconic actors headlining the day. Imagine seeing Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman and Christopher Reeve as Superman headlining the JLA Movie back then.
I wanted that movie so bad!
But, anyway she was incredible for the part and did this role for three seasons for ABC and I wanted more of her but some unknown reasons ABC cancelled the show and this made me very sad that they did this and I always wonder why they cancelled a winner.
Everything about her was done just right and I always hold dear of the first season and my only favorite season of Wonder Woman of where the show set during World War Two and that's why I find it to be the best season ever.
Lynda Carter is Wonder Woman first and foremost.

Gal Gadot as Wonder WomanWhen, I watched the Superman vs Batman Movie and I wasn't all that impressed with Ben Affleck as Batman and I'm not a fan of Henry Cavill as Superman either but they did an average to above average (barely) job of their respective roles and the reason why I did not care for Affleck that he was too old to play Batman ... he's 44 now and I just don't like a man nearing 50 when Justice League II come around in theaters by that time. I just having an issue with Mr. Cavill because he's a bit too short for Superman and I just can't stand his voice either and that's why I have issue with him as an actor. But, Gal Gadot was the best of the three because she has a fresh voice and great with her ability to play Wonder Woman and clearly was better than the three that I already mentioned here. I just find her has the right tools for the job and I wished she had a better figure but I'm not complaining anything about it. But, she has that fierce outlook, right mannerisms, and does a better job as Wonder Woman as Ben Affleck as Batman and on par and potentially better than Henry Cavill as Superman in that movie. I hope that she does well in her own Solo Movie and the Justice League Movie coming out in 2017 of which it will be the most anticipated movie ever and I hope that Warners Bros will do well in that in that department. Anyway, I'm a fan of her now and I wished her continual success in her film career.

For the Role of the Black CanaryNote to All: I know old actresses better than the current ones. I just don't watch much of the newer movies and I spend a lot of time watching movies from Turner Classic Movies and I have a large selection of DVD showing many of the classic stars from 1930's to 1960's. First Place - Catherine DeneuveShe would be my first choice to play the Blonde Bombshell because she has the right shade of Blonde that I want and I consider her exotic, sensual, and more importantly has the moxie to play the part perfectly. She's the right height and body shape and I would like her to lose a few pounds to make it work. She would give her part in any movie Star Power. Catherine has the Wow Factor and that alone makes her special! Second Place - Barbara BouchetThe Bond Girl in the Campy Version of Casino Royale has all the making to play the role of the Black Canary and more I watched that film - I find her to be just perfect for the Blonde Bombshell and I find her to be more refreshing and more youthful look. She has that All American Girl that I like and knowing that she is the right height and weight to make it work. I have seen other television and movies of her and she has the beauty to play the part perfectly. Third Place - Mamie Van DorenThis selection may come to surprise to some of you here and I do watched a lot of her film and one thing for sure about her that's she has the legs to play the part and I find her to be a blend of both Catherine and Barbara and has some of their qualities that i like. I really like her a lot and one of my favorite actresses in the 50's and I watched a lot of movies that were made in the 50's and she is one of my sentimental favorites. I questioned her athletic ability that could marked her down as the Blonde Bombshell. From this picture, Catherine Deneuve really does look like the Black Canary to me. To be honest, I'm not really familiar with the other two actresses. By the way, I prefer movies from the 30's to 90's, myself, and haven't even heard of a lot of these modern actresses.

Best Artist of Wonder Woman My 3 FavoritesRoss Andru 1st PlaceHe draw her cleanly, very refined, proper perspective, and most of all did it with class and dignity. I loved his penciling in his artwork and used the colors very nicely and done a terrific job making sure that she is drawn proportionally and without blemish. He's one of my favorite artists in DC Comics history and done an excellent job with Wonder Woman. George Perez 2nd PlaceHe draws her with a force and makes her very commanding and powerful. His work in Legends is incredible and this full page is the best example of that. He made her strong, resourceful, and commanding and that's why I loved his work on Wonder Woman and always will. He's one of my favorite artists and I always admired his ability to capture the motion and there is no better man than him. Phil Jimenez 3rd PlaceOne of my favorite picture of Wonder Woman drawn by Phil and always be a classic to me and he draws her very elegantly and does a great job keeping everything in perspective and my only beef about him that I wished he could do a better face. But, his artwork in general deserved to be mentioned and this picture should be the benchmark for years to come.

Best Villains of Wonder WomanCheetah - Priscilla Rich 1st PlaceThere is no other than her to begin with - one of the top dog in Wonder Woman history and they had legendary battles together and I consider her the cream of the crop in terms of villainy. She is one determined villain that's wants Wonder Woman dead so that she can continue her ways of terrorizing the world and unfortunately Wonder Woman prevailed before her. Circe - 2nd Place My exposure of her is from the Golden Age of Wonder Woman and spots of the Silver Age as well. My memory of her is a little vague right now but her name is a force to be reckon with and I consider her a more than a worthy opponent for Wonder Woman. She is one of the most evilest woman ever walked in DC Comics Universe and certainly one tough cookie to crack. Most importantly, she is intelligent, crafty, and always thinking of new ways to defeat the Amazon Princess. Giganta - 3rd PlaceOne of the most popular villain in Wonder Woman history and pound for pound one of the most difficult opponent for Wonder Woman to take on and most dangerous because of her sheer size and force. I just loved her in the Super Friends Cartoons and one of my favorite villain in the world of DC Comics. Man, when Wonder Woman sees her - she is in one heck of a fight. Cunning, deadly, strong, and very dangerous foe for Wonder Woman. These three are my top three villains in Wonder Woman History. I will be moving onto Number 2 and one of the popular heroes in DC Comics History!
