Regarding Metal MenWhile, I was doing some research on the Metal Men and I did not know that there was a 2nd lady member by the name of Copper she is pictured at the bottom of this picture. I do not know anything about her and I was wondering if anyone here is aware of her?

I haven't read the newer version with Copper. Glad to see another female in the mix.
They'd make a great cartoon.

I had no idea.
Down the road when I have grandkids we'll dig back into the cartoons.
I really haven't watched any except for a couple of seasons of JLU, which was pretty good.

Copper was in Metal Men Vol 3 #1 by Duncan Rouleau in 2007. This series lasted 8 issues. She next appeared in the Metal Men backups in Doom Patrol Vol 5 #1-7.
The first series was collected in trade paperback in 2009 & the second into the 100 page special: DC Comics Presents The Metal Men in 2011.
They are currently appearing (but no Copper) as one of four features in Legends Of Tomorrow #1-6.

I really like DC's "offbeat" Silver Age characters like the Metal Men, Metamorpho, The Doom Patrol, Challengers, Sea Devils, etc

Metal Men - Dr. Will MangusShort Profile of Dr. Will MangusThe creator of the Metal Men and it's Genius behind it - he created the responsometer that allowed all Metal Men to react in their own unique way and making them effective team player and the mastermind of the many inventions that seen throughout the Metal Men Comic Books. A decent leader and sometimes he becomes a Metal Man himself on several team situations when it's warrans it. A brilliant mind and the architect of the group dynamics. Pretty Cool and quite Inventive. Metal Men - GOLD Short Profile of GOLDThe brain behind the Metal Men and one of the most cleverest members around; he's calculable, methodical, calm, and the leader of the team when Dr. Will Mangus is not around. His quick thinking enables to keep peace between Mercury and Platinum that's constantly at odds that why he is able to get the most out of each of the team members. One of the most versatile and one of the coolest facts about Gold - one once of Gold can be made into a wire that can be 50 mile long. I just like this guy! Tomorrow Morning ... Lead and Mercury is next!

Metal Men - LeadShort Profile on LeadLead is the working-man member of the team and actually one of the first to engage in any activity and a true workhorse of a team member in Metal Men. I really have a strong liking to this guy and often he saves the day of his valiant heroism that comes to true in every mission that the Metal Men engaged in. He works real well with Iron and often these two Metal Men work together in unison and often the writer likes the idea of combining Lead and Iron together as a sort of a Dynamic Duo of the Metal Men. A very valuable team member and he often is the one that Dr. Will Mangus call upon to act like a shield against all form of radiation. Not the strong man in the group - but the working-man period. Metal Men - MercuryShort Profile on MercuryIs the hothead of the group itself one of the most difficult to get along with and frankly my least favorite member of this group. He doesn't like Platinum (Tina) at all and feels that she should not be on the team itself and knowing that he doesn't like Nameless neither. In some ways he feels that he should be the team leader, not Gold and often clashes with him on certain missions together and that's one of the many reasons why I don't like him at all. I find him to be very confrontational and moody and that's why he doesn't get the respect that he deserve. Hot Headed at times and that's why it's takes several Metal Men team members to cool him down and work together as a team. Later On Today ... Iron and Tin

Metal Men - IronShort Profile on IronHe is the strong man of the group and work very closely with Lead and these two often work together for the team sake. Sometimes he is the team sacrificial lamb and usually comes out victorious and that why he needs Lead to support him. He is somewhat a loner and does not want to get involved with other Metal Men problems and that's why he often ask his team what you want me to do and I will take care of it. Very unselfish member and one of the most easiest to get along with. Metal Men - TinShort Profile on TinHe is the most sweetest member of the team and one of the most kindness because he has his heart in the right place and having said that one of the most bravest team member of the Metal Men. He's also insecure and willing to put his life on the line to help his team to succeed. He is trying his best to be a worthy member but somehow certain things get in a way and that's hurts him very much. He is a dear friend of Nameless and later has a romance with her and that's why they often work together because two of them work together as a team can help the Metal Men in more ways than one. Then finally ... Platinum and Nameless to round them off

Metal Men - Platinum (Tina)Short Profile on Platinum Until, that I haven't met Copper in recent days - Tina was the only female member of the group and has a fiery disposition that makes her very difficult to get along with anyone and that's goes double to Mercury. She acts like a regular female member of the team and Dr. Will Magnus gets upset when he tries to repair her "responsometer" and actually gets in a fight like any normal male and female do in a heated argument. She doesn't like the Doc going on a date with any other woman and only the good Doctor of the Metal Men dates Tina and only Tina. Metal Men - NamelessThis Metal Men who was being built by Tin who wanted to have a "girlfriend" so that he can talk to her and the other Metal Men rejected her and that made Tin on uneasy grounds and Nameless asked Dr. Will Mangus to make her look beautiful and the results of that change something went kaput and that made Tin very unhappy and sad.

Tomorrow, I will reveal a New #50 because I felt it was a grave injustice to rank Lone Ranger and Tonto at #50 and I move them up to #45 for that reason alone.
I had to do this and knowing myself - the New #50 will be a one shot thing and I do not want to explore this team in great details because I had very little history with this team. The problem is that I did not read much of them when I was young but they had influence me by one member of that group that made a great impression because this member was by far the most prominent one yet.
I will reveal #50 tomorrow morning and I will be only be making one post and move on to Number 44 sometimes after that.
New #50 Tomorrow Morning ...

#50 Doom Patrol (New) - DC ComicsTo me, The Doom Patrol should never, ever added Mento and Beast Boy into the lineup and having said that I was kind of mad when they added these two members to the group. Mento was added in Doom Patrol #91 and Beast Boy was added in Doom Patrol #99 and that destroyed it. The only two members that I can recall are Elastic Girl (Rita Farr) and The Chief (Doctor Niles Caulder) and the other two Doom Patrol Members were Negative Man and Robotman. I like Robotman as a solo hero but not in a team like Doom Patrol and I consider Negative Man more a negative hero rather a positive one. I had great difficulties of liking Negative Man and having said that I just have no love for him. The Chief (Doctor Niles Caulder) was a good leader and knowing that he had difficulties with the Doom Patrol and I did not read every single issue and that's why I don't have any connections to him in most part of the stories and that's makes it very difficult for me gauge him. The only one that I have connections with is Elastic Girl ... They all got their start in My Greatest Adventure #80!The Whole Doom Patrol - The OriginalsSo, Doom Patrol at #50

Rita Farr - Elastic GirlWhen, I read Doom Patrol #121 of which every reader has a choice to let them live or die. Many readers chose death and it's bothers me from day one and that's made me mad and I never, ever got a chance to understand Robotman and Negative Man because I never got to know them at all. The only member that I can relate to is Rita Farr pictured above you and she was the MAIN REASON why I like the Doom Patrol because I have a great fondness of the sci-fi movie the Attack of the 50 foot Woman (pictured below) ... And Rita Farr reminded me of that ... She was totally unreal to me and I find her to be quite impressive and that's the main reason that she reminded me of Giant-Man, Elongated Man, Mr. Fantastic, and others like them and she was always on the attack using her great size and stature to help the Doom Patrol in every way possible. It is very difficult for me to remember this group and I don't have any of their issues anymore because I gave them away to a dear friend of mine and knowing that I had to put them at #50.
