Because Lt. Kenda ... Homicide Hunter and this Show on the same time and all that, I've decided not to watch Riverdale because its reminded me of a Soap Opera Nonsense and all that. I'm truly sorry about this and I just can't stomach anymore.
My last post on this thread.

And they just lost another viewer. I just hate this "new" direction with Chic & Hiram, etc.

I'm going to keep watching, but this week's episode was a jumbled mess. I did like the scenes with Josie, Kevin, and their parents. Also liked the scenes Cheryl was in. The Archie/Veronica/Jughead/Betty at the cabin and the Mr. Lodge stuff didn't hold my interest.

While last night's episode was very Lodge heavy, I am interested in the story starting for Cheryl. No wonder she is so messed up with a family like hers. Still watching, although I am not as interested in the Lodges take over Riverdale story as I was with the Black Hood and all of season 1. There was a big reveal about Betty's brother too last night.

What an episode! After a couple of missteps in the previous episodes, Riverdale is back on track (to me, at least). Yes, the Lodges are still up to no good, but we see tons of fall out. Veronica is pretty much friendless now (loved the scene with Ethel and Josie getting even with her). Archie is getting in deeper with the Lodges, but his mother (the fantastic Molly Ringwald) is on to him and there is a great scene where she puts Archie in his place. There was a bit more revealed about Chic. We see Archie and Jughead's friendship unravel. And poor Cheryl and Nana Blossom--good grief! All this, plus Veronica gets a milkshake dumped on her by Ethel....and she punches Reggie!

Well @mrjupiter you convinced me to try Riverdale again. Between being stuck at home with a head cold & digging out from 14 inches of snow I watched the last two episodes. Still hate Mr Lodge & Chic but LOVED having Archie's mom back. Wow the show redeemed itself with one scene with Archie's Mom telling him off about disrespecting his Dad.
I loved the scenes with Veronica & Reggie. I like the idea of Jughead running for class president. And man the creepy Blossoms are BACK!
Much better episode this week.

md62, glad you enjoyed the episode! I really liked it. I agree, seeing Jughead run for president is cool...although I was hoping for a scene with Reggie asking Ethel to run with him! ha! Loved the quick scene with Ethel and Josie too! I hope Molly Ringwald sticks around. Great dynamic between her, KJ Apa, and Luke Perry.

It was great seeing an adult being a good parent again. I think it will be a good storyline seeing Fred go up against the Lodges as he runs for mayor.

md62, I hope Fred Andrews wins! Someone needs to put the Lodges in their place and stop them. They are truly awful. It would be nice to see the Andrews reconcile their marriage.

While not quite as good as last week's episode, I enjoyed last night's offering. I am tired of the Lodge Family and all their drama, but I can foresee all of their shady dealings on a crash course with the mayoral race, which will no doubt affect Mr. Andrews and Archie. Still not sure what Archie is up to. Is he hanging with the Lodges to keep an eye on them..or is he truly corrupted? Loved the scene at the end with him and his mother. Poor Nana Blossom can't get a break. Glad Toni and Veronica went on their mission, although I found Veronica's outfit not to be what one would really wear to go through a storm tunnel and break into a conversion school, haha! She looked great though! Glad Mrs. Cooper has seen Chic's true colors and I liked the scene at the end with her and FP. I wanted to see more Reggie and Josie (how cool was the Rosie and Varchie shirts) and things relating to running for president of student council. Josie hasn't had a whole lot to do lately and I think a story with her and Reggie would be fun. Hope they win too!

I didn't enjoy the Carrie the Musical episode as much as I thought I would. However, I did enjoy the scenes between all the singing and dancing. My favorite was the scene with Archie, his father, and the jalopy. Loved seeing Cheryl confront her mother (although it was very over the top). Nice to see Chuck back and seemingly redeemed. The end of the episode....WOW! Lots of suspects for that one.
