Change of TalentHedy Lamarr for Catwoman - Not Gene TierneyI'm re-casting Gene Tierney from Catwoman to HEDY LAMARR for that role only - both have Star Power and I felt that Gene Tierney would make an excellent Batwoman and she would be my original choice ... looking at the picture of Hedy and Catwoman in the Golden Age of Comics - Hedy has that role hands down - personally she is a better fit than Gene. And, a dead ringer too in term of body shape and mannerism, Catwoman is a seductive villain and Hedy just ooze it to the point of being dead on target in this role. These pictures don't lie and the proof in the pudding that Hedy can pull it off in a big way possible. Hedy for Catwoman!

One of the most prolific of horror actors during the 1950's/early 60's was John Agar. A much better actor than many of his films called for and a perfect choice for those which turned out to be of good quality, Agar has one other characteristic which made me think back to this classic thread - his resemblance to Michael Keaton (Batman). Sure, arguing to a casting director in 1960 that John Agar would make the perfect Batman on account of the fact that in 30 years time another actor who would come to resemble him will do a fantastic job with the role would be no easy task (and it's not exactly the requirements for this thread either), but still, whenever I see John Agar I keep thinking of his resemblance to Keaton and that sensation would be especially trippy if I were noting the similarities in a JLA/Batman film from circa 1960. Of course, he doesn't look exactly like Keaton (though these head shots don't do the resemblance justice when you see him in motion) but since the differences would actually do away with the complaints some critics had about Keaton (which I think are completely without merit) such as his relatively short height and lack of Hollywood good looks since Agar was 6'1 and a good looking fellow, I think those differences only work in his favour. Anyhoo, just a thought and if nothing else, a reason to revisit MechaGodzilla's excellent thread for anyone who missed it the first time around. Perhaps if Errol Flynn can't do the film, we get John Agar in his place?
