Polls will Close on July 4th I'm only be sharing these Lanterns and my perspectives -- I'm not an expert on Green Lanterns but, I'm going to share my understanding of these Lanterns listed below. Abin Sur Alan Scott G'nort Guy Gardner Hal Jordan Jade John Stewart Katma Tui Kilowog Kyle Rayner Mogo Simon Baz I'm going to share in my own order of my personal favorite starting the worst of the twelve listed here and proceed from there. If you can please vote your top 3 listed here -- I did not want to include "Others" because if you select "Others" -- I've may and may not know much about those Green Lanterns that you want to vote on. Sorry about that. I've my own personal reasons for that. This is a very difficult project for me to do here and please be aware that my knowledge of these characters is true to the heart and my own thoughts and please accept it as it is. It's going to take me awhile to share these 12 Lanterns and may take the most of this Summer to go over them. I'm going to try to get something started by the end of this week -- be Patience with me. |

Alan Scott for the #1 spot.
Kilowog the gently poozer of a giant for #2. Love his design and characterization.
G'Nort just for the fact that such a misfit goof amidst the structured mentally focused and competent "Corp" is full of hilarious possibilities.

Alan Scott is my favorite Green Lantern.
Earth based GLC's: Hal. Because he is the first GL I grew up reading. I like John especially after his portrayal in the JL cartoons. Kyle grew on me with time. Never liked Guy.
Other GLC's: Kilowog is awesome.

Hal Jordan is my favorite as he is the one I grew up with! Alan Scott is a close second! Never really cared for any of the others.

I think this is a great idea for a thread since Green Lantern is a "title" for a whole host of characters.

I think this is a great idea for a thread since Green Lantern is a "title" for a whole host of characters.
I have ideas about this thread and you've to wait for it later this week -- It's may takes me a month or two and even longer to cover all the bases. Stay Tuned. |

Salaak was pretty cool... it was always fun to see actual aliens. No secret that Kyle is my favorite... John Stewart (both the architect verison in the comics and the jarhead version in the Diniverse) is definitely 2nd.

I'm also a big fan of Katma Tui and, regarding newer GLs, I really like Jessica Cruz.

Dear Members and Guests:
My thoughts on the various Green Lanterns; that my understanding of each of them -- will be very personal and picture heavy that I've believe that a picture worth "a thousand of words" -- to emphasize my points very clear to all of you. Just to let you all know that. I'm almost done getting both Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz and I'm going to take a week or 2 to cover all angles -- don't be surprised that I've might go longer on it.

Why give the ring to such an uptight non-imaginative person? At least with Kyle, who's an artist, can create interesting things with his ring... Overall the idea of the Green Lantern, and now every other color Lantern is so dull to me. |
