Bigger trailer this time. More explosions, more information about Skrulls, less mystery. Still looks good to me, and I will take my daughters to see it.
As for Alison Brie's voice, it is what it is. Maybe not as commanding as I would envision Carol Danvers' voice to be, but certainly not a deal-breaker for me.

around the 7 minute mark. Overally, it's way, way better than the last one, but her voice just isn't selling it for me. Hopefully it won't be as noticeable in the film as in these isolated clips
This one is a really irritating delivery, but she makes a couple of really good points about Brie's wooden acting and also changing the tone of her voice (which feels like a mistake for me - if she has a naturally deeper voice, I think it would work much better)

This fan-made remake of the first Captain Marvel trailer is pretty amazing.

New trailer out, and I'm still just not feeling it - this just isn't how I imagine the character sounding

I don't like her delivery either but I never expect much in the way of acting from these things anyway.

I'm glad the Skrulls are distinct from the Chitauri and that we get to meet the real guys.
This new trailer is less intriguing that the previous one, I thought; it suggests a pretty standard plot. I guess Disney paid heed to all those online voices who explain every relative failure of a film by "viewers who can't understand what the story is about after seeing the trailer".
I wonder if there will be any attempt to make this film fit with the Agents of SHIELD TV show. (Not direct references to it, but avoiding to outright contradict it).

According to my friends at my LCS they have mixed feelings about it and frankly a bit lukewarm about this movie. About 15 to 20 percent of the people thinks it will be a bust.

It's pretty much how she's been portrayed in the comics in recent years. I meant her tone, rather than the words spoken - I've always pictured Carol as having a more powerful voice

So, seeing Annette Bening in the 3rd Trailer and thinking on it. She is Kree with silver/white hair and there has been nothing leaked or noted about who her character is. With all the game playing and mis-direction over Jude Law as Yon-Rogg is it possible Bening is a gender swapped Mar-Vell and Carol Danvers takes on the name in respect of her in some way? Or maybe Bening is Phyla-Vell, Mar-Vell's daughter or descendant that uses tales of Mar-Vell in the start of the Kree/Skrull war to inspire Carol in her training/etc which Carol then takes the name in honor once she is on Earth? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm as we await the movie...

There's another TV spot out - I think this one is maybe a little better, but I'm still not feeling any excitement for this movie

Hm, Chris Hemsworth doesn't sound quite as haughty as I imagine Thor would sound most times.
Scarlett Johansson doesn't have a Russian accent.
David Michelenie never wrote any form of whip-snap banter/quips that Downey Jr has now forever branded the character as speaking.
Chris Evans sounds like Johnny Storm.
So voice tone doesn't concern me in the slightest with Larson because so far, no MCU character has sounded exactly like I think they should yet I've enjoyed these films immensely.
My biggest qualm about this film is that I have little to no interest in Carol Danvers (same reason why I have yet to see either Ant-Man film) yet it seems I may have to as her presence/actions may be crucial to how Infinity War is resolved.

I absolutely love the first Ant-Man film for what it represents (though I think it's a pretty good film too). It's basically a fun caper film. Which is awesome...and points out (one of) the problems with super-hero films (though far more DC's films than Marvel's). You can do all kinds of movies with super-heroes. They don't all have to be brooding grimdark or Epic. You can do caper films, comedies, family oriented, etc. It's just the right palate cleanser from The Avengers films.
