My 15-11, are vastly different than the good Doctor's....
15. Adam Warlock
14. Vision
13. Thor
12. Misty Knight
11. Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze)
and while I like good ole Hank Pym, not enough for him to take up 3 spots in the top 50 so far.
And as an indicator of how tastes can change, if you had asked me to do this list any time between 1975 and 1995, Vision would have been #1 on the list by a large margin, and many who made the top 50 wouldn't have even been considered then. My tastes over the past 20 years ('95-2014) have radically changed as I explored more of the MU outside the Avengers sphere and the more mainstream titles of my youth.

Hulk would just creep into like territory and he'd make a Marvel Top 10 for me. I don't seem to have liked him all that much in the comics. I have the first two Essential volumes and very few others. I enjoyed the tv series as a kid and I like him on a team or in a team up.
Mr. Fantastic would rate as #5 on my Marvel Comics list with another member of the FF a spot ahead of him.

Doc Bruce Banner, Belted by gamma rays, Turned into the Hulk. Ain't he unglamo-rays!
Wreckin' the town With the power of a bull, Ain't no monster clown Who is as lovable.
As ever-lovin' Hulk! HULK!! HULK!!"
The Hulk is one of my favorites! My first issue was #193 and I never missed an issue until around issue #330. I've read almost every issue (many through reprints) from Hulk #1 in 1962 through the Tales to Astonish days through the Trimpe years. There's only about ten issues I've never read.
I bet he's my Number Three after Batman and Spider-Man!

I love that you are using so many Hank Pym identities on your list, Doctor Fate! Hank Pym is one of those rare characters in the world of Comics - I like him as Yellowjacket, Ant-Man, and my personal favorite Giant-Man ... I just in awe of this character and to me he's one of the kind and I like the way Marvel Comics utilize him in so many ways it's unbelievable. Here's another fantastic picture of him in that classic Marvel Way! One more thing, I got really confused and frustrated when they added Goliath into the mix. I thought it was Giant Man II - but, I did not know that it was Henry Pym in the first place. So, I never, really got that straighten out and that's the time I did not care for Avengers that much because of Goliath's appearance on the team. Hank Pym, a man with many talents and to me one of my all-time favorites!

Is was this adventure that defined him.

Another interesting and thought-provoking batch of rankings from our good doctor.
#13 Giant Man - as mentioned previously, all incarnations of Hank Pym are in one slot on my list at #29.
#12 Professor X - oddly, Professor X does not make my list. I know he's a hero, but I just don't think of him in the same way as I do the others on my list. As well, he can be a bit of a jerk sometimes, as well as a mind manipulator even though he says he won't do it because it isn't ethical.
#11 Incredible Hulk - just one slot off, as Bruce Banner's green-skinned alter makes my Top 10 at #10. This character has really grown on my over the past few years, and getting to meet and talk with Herb Trimpe at Pittsburgh Comicon a few weeks ago and get some insight into his work on the book was really cool. Plus, who doesn't love "Hulk Smash!"?
#10 Mr. Fantastic - Reed is a little lower on my list, coming in at #14. I like the character well enough, but there are a good number of others that I like just a little bit more. Depending on the writer, Reed can be either a well-rounded character or a one-dimensional super-genius with no awareness of others around him, and it's that fluctuation that keeps him from being higher on my list.
#9 Human Torch - The younger Storm sibling ranks much lower on my list, barely cracking the Top 25. He's too on the nose for me, the hot-headed impetuous youth who has fire and flame as an ability. His never-ending adolescence has been a turn-off for me, but it can't be too bad, as he is still pretty high on the list.

Created by - Lee Wein Illustrated by - Dave Cockrum (co-created Storm) AbilitiesWeather manipulation, Flight, Energy perception, Ecological empathy Immunity to temperature extremes, Latent magical abilities Resistant to telepathy, Gifted strategist, skilled in martial arts, hand to hand combat, fencing training and pilot.
