I am OverForce! Gaze upon my tiny head and my pouch buttons and my deformed feet, and tremble! Mine is OverFlame! We could be part of OverCorps! It would be so awful! It might work as a parody on Adult Swim.

(...) Edo! Absolutely no reason for you to remember me, but I used to occasionally post on Bronze Age Babies, and I remember your posts well. That was a great site, I really enjoyed all the content Karen and Doug and the main regulars like yourself used to post. Were you using the same nym (i.e., 'supercat')? I don't remember seeing that one, although I recall most of the folks that posted there, even occasionally. And yeah, I really miss that site, but all good things, etc. At least the site's still up, with all posts and comments, so there's that. Don't know if you knew, but Doug briefly had a sort of follow-up blog, Black & White & Bronze, dedicated (as the name indicates) to black & white comics mainly from the 1970s. He didn't post as frequently there, and he shuttered it in late 2019. Since then, both he and Karen have done a few special 'Super Blog Team-up' posts at the BAB, but that's about it. Doug still posts stuff on the BAB twitter account, though. (Another BAB 'follow-up' blog is Back in the Bronze Age, hosted by another frequent BAB commenter, Redartz, had a pretty good start, but sort of fizzled out, and now it's down to weekly discussion posts.) Otherwise, Karen now has her own blog, Echoes from the Satellite, where she occasionally posts about SF, comics and other pop culture stuff. She's also one of the three hosts of the Planet 8 podcast (also covering topics of interest to us geeks).
Very much appreciate you catching me up on the whereabouts/status/activities of folks these days, I will have to check out those links! And yes, I'm glad the BAB content is still up, I enjoy going back there to read from time to time. I was not posting as "supercat" there which I should have mentioned! I think I may have just been posting as Anonymous and then signing "Ewan" at the end of my post (could not find any old posts but I think that was it).

I just noticed that my complaint with Liefelds art is that all the characters always seem to be standing at attention. No nuance or relaxed type posture.

It turns out that Liefeld no longer owns Youngblood or Supreme. If he sold the properties, I'm quite glad for him. It means he got a lot of money for basically nothing. I don't say that in a mean way, but let's be honest... Youngblood and Supreme are a bunch of superheroes that are pale imitations of pre-existing characters. There is nothing particularly original about them, and if Rob wants to do more stories about, say, an archer with trick arrows or a Superman clone, he can create new characters ( Trickshot(c) and Übermann(c)) which he'll also be able to sell to some corporation that wants to develop the next MCU! There are so many stories about corporations scr***ng creators that it's nice to see the opposite happen.

What anatomy book was he using? I saw some interview with him that said he actually used action figures, for poses, aside from those he swiped from Perez, Kirby, Byrne, Brent Anderson, etc.
