juggernaut I agree with your reviews of the 1966 Batman TV show EXCEPT I adored Yvonne Craig & felt she was the only redeeming factor of the 3rd season. What I've meant as a Joke is that they did a three-part show that took three (The Londinium Larcenies to The Bloody Tower) weeks to end it and that's made me almost stopped watching it. Also the last two shows were dismal and not the way to end the series. I loved Yvonne Craig as Batgirl and I felt that the Producers did not do a great job making it and I learned of that from Adam West. You are right about Yvonne Craig and respectfully thought that she was the only good thing about that show in the 3rd season.

Jill St. John - Molly - 1st Major Star on BatmanShe was the first major star to appear on Batman who played a part of a Gun Moll for the Riddler played by Frank Gorshin. She had a major part that rivals Frank and gave the show an instant boost one of the most successful shows for an opening on record of which everyone in America tune in the antics of the Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder. According to Adam West, she was a real trooper and a class act on the set and felt honored to be chosen as the first major star appeared on this show. Hi Diddle Riddle - with clips featuring Jill St. John Smack in the Middle - with clips featuring Jill St. John I just loved the part of where Batman entered that Disco/Go Go and dancing with Molly and she said something like it's two to tango and said it so seductively that made the scene just right and some of patrons before hand were stunned by the presence of the Caped Crusader - Batman! ... I have watched these shows a couple of time already when I got the DVD's little more than a year ago when they made a major announcement from Warners Bros that they are releasing all 120 shows of Batman on DVD'S. These two shows along with the galaxy of stars that came with it - and Jill St. John was a major part of that and she sets the tone for future molls to follow. I adore her skills as an actress and one of my favorites in the 60's and beyond and having said that she later became the Bond Girl in Diamonds are Forever starring Sean Connery last role of 007. She played Tiffany Case It was her role in Batman along with several other roles prior to that helps her land that role in Diamonds Are Forever. That's helped her a lot more ways than one and I was kind of sad when they killed her nearing the end of the Smack in the Middle of where she fell into the Nuclear Power Source for the Batmobile and Batman aches of her untimely death. That's scene kind of broke my heart at the time but that's show business back then and I realize that they had to do this for a reason and we all know that. Anyway, she was a great actress on that show and one of major reason that Batman hit it off so good and a great run afterwards. She still alive and doing quite well at the age of 76 pictured here.

Fearsome FoursomeFrom Left to Right Lee Meriweather as the Catwoman Frank Gorshin as the Riddler Burgess Meredith as the Penguin Cesar Romero as the Joker, they all form themselves as In the Batman 66 Movie - they formed themselves as United Underworld a ruthless organization to conquer Gotham City 1st and then the World headlined by these fearsome foursome - four of the deadliest foes of the Dynamic Duo. We all know by heart what went on that movie and I don't want to spend anymore time on it. But, I wanted to give you all my short opinion on each of these dastardly foes of Batman and Robin. Lee MeriweatherShe had three roles in this movie - Selina Kyle, Catwoman, and that Charming Reporter from the Moscow Bugle - Kitka and she was the primary planner of taking over the world being aided by her three adversaries of Batman - She did a great job doing all three roles and did a part as Selina when she slapped a henchman saying Catwoman to her. I was very surprised to see that she did a great job as Catwoman and did quite well and that alone made that movie great. She did everything right. Frank GorshinHe was a master at his craft performing the Riddler and I was very sad when he did not come back in the 2nd Season due to contract problems and came back in the 3rd season as a token appearance that left me very sad. I find him just too darn perfect for the Riddler and I felt very disappointed for Jim Carrey did not heed to study Frank's impressions. I've admired him very much and I met him once and he was truly an unique man to meet with. His role as the Riddler in the 1st Season is legendary and he always be in my heart one of the best villain in Batman history. Burgess MeredithIn all the Batman TV Shows, he appeared the most and enjoyed his part as the waddling bird of crime and happen to enjoy his television and film work on Batman and does it as a trooper and never, ever complained about it. I just loved his cracking and waddling ways of the great characteristics of his Penguin Walks. He was fabulous in every show that he does and does it with gusto and charm. Man, he was great and always have a heart for him. I loved his partnership with Carolyn Jones who played Marsha the Queen of Diamonds and they were just too good together. Cesar RomeroMan, he did the part of the Joker just to the "T" and did it with a tour of force that I felt that he was born to play it and I was chuckled that his mustache was covered with grease paint that he did not want his mustache to be shaved off when he played the Joker and the Producers agreed to his demands. His laugh and his mannerisms was truly amazing and I find him to be a charming individual when I met him and got his autograph. I just adore him and did his part as the Crown Prince of Crime with flair that I always felt that he was the best Joker in Television History. For the RecordI have all of their autographs and I made it my journey to seek and attend functions that they are scheduled to appear and managed to get all of their autographs from 1976 to 1995. Burgess Meredith died in 1997 and I managed to get his autograph (the last of the Fearsome Foursome) in the Spring of 1995 and I'm very grateful that I did. Lee Meriweather was the first, followed by the Joker 2nd, then Riddler 3rd, and finally the Penguin last in 1995.

Four Main Transportation of BatmanBatmobileBatmobile LinkThe most used transportation mode and seen every show and Batman 66 movie. I was chuckling in the 3rd Season when Robin started to drive the Batmobile when he got his driver license. Anyway, it's the cream of the crop for all mode of transportation that Batman uses and designed by George Barris and his crew. BatcopterBatcopter LinkIt was leased during the filming of Batman the Movie back in 1966 and used sparingly in the series and I was disappointed in that. I was stunned when it used in the 3rd Season when the Dynamic Duo was battling the Joker. However, this is one cool machine and I was surprised how much they used it in the Batman Movie in 1966 and that alone made me smile. BatcycleBatcycle LinkThe link has additional information about the Batmobile that you might be interested in. My feelings about the Batcyle is exactly as same as the Batcopter and I wished they used it more in the series and I thought it would be Robin's main transportation in the 3rd Season rolled around and I felt that they did not use it more during the 1st and 2nd Seasons. I just loved this Cycle and I'm truly sorry that I did not want to share about the Batgirl Cycle used in the 3rd Season because I want to cover Batman and Robin exclusively. BatboatBatboat LinkIt was primarily used in the Movie and one show of where Batman and Robin was battling the Catwoamn and Sandman in 2nd Season of Batman and I just loved this craft and it was so freaky cool and I just loved the way the Dynamic Duo slid down a pole to get to the Batboat in the Movie. The most disappointing of all transportation devices that Batman uses and I wanted more of the Batboat in the Television Series and they failed on every count except once in the 2nd Season. I will be done tomorrow - I got three more things to share about the Batman TV Show and done with the Dynamic Duo.

Shakespeare ... "The Barb" This basically a disguised device that once you pulled down the head of Shakespeare and it's has a switch that operates the opening of the false wall that leads to the Batcave. That's pretty much it. The BatcaveThis is the best picture of the overall layout of the Batcave with Adam West and Burt Ward preparing the Batcomputer to do some work on it to find out who is behind the Crime that they are finding out. It has everything that Batman needs and that massive Nuclear Power Source that powers the Batmobile and all that and it's one of the most impressive thing in the Batcave alone. I loved the way they utilize the space and when I saw it for the first time in the first show involving the Riddler and Molly - My Jaw dropped of how futuristic it's look and with the new DVD's that came out a little more a year ago was stunning in retouched color images that came alive and it's more marvelous than ever before. The Batcave - Headquarters for the Dynamic Duo.

Best Two Part Show of Batman and Robin - 2nd Season Involving Green Hornet and KatoComplete Show Wrap Up LinkThis show remains a cult favorite and a dear favorite of mine featuring Green Hornet and Kato - respectfully played by Van Williams as the Hornet and Bruce Lee as Kato. It was unreal in the first time I saw it and one of the most talked about Batman Television Show at my Local Comic Bookstore for years and years. It was amazing show and it's has everything under the sun and it's more a comedy show than really a detective show at first. To me, it was epic when they fought in the 2nd show "Batman Satisfaction" of which both Heroes fought to a draw and I just loved the fistfight that both Robin and Kato fought and the battle of the Green Hornet and Batman was excellent too. Anyway, I suggest you all read this link to recapture some of the action and the plot behind it and I felt that Roger C. Carmel was a lame duck villain for both Duos to fight from and the crazy glue pad that he uses to trap the Dynamic Duos; but that's was the Producers of Batman came up at the time they produces that show. Diane McBain played a part of Pinky Pinkston and with her ravishing pink hair and that's was kind of a surprise to see that in the first place and that's gave the show additional flair for color. She did well for her role requires. Anyway, for fun and in the first show ... Piece of the Action - I was chuckling about the Humor and the sudden Sex Appeal when Van Williams as his role of Britt Reid talking to a Model name Shirley and said ... A Peignoir named Shirley? ... that's was cute and funny at the same time. Here's the picture below ... Shirley ... played by Angelique PettyjohnAnd, one other model who was flirting with Bruce (Batman) Wayne by a model who said 555-5555 to him and Bruce said Size 5555555 to her and she gave him the punchline "That's my telephone Number, Call Me" ... something like that ... so here's the picture below ... 555-5555 Model played by Jan WatsonAnyway, I wanted to share that with all of you because it made the show fun and corny at the same time and that's made the show Special to me. That's pretty much cover all the things that I wanted to cover for today and I will be spending the Thanksgiving Weekend to cover my Number One Character of all time ...

Original Concept of SupermanI have a 8x11 glossy of this picture of which I got it from a store in Vancouver B.C. thirty years ago and I have it in my Safety Deposit Box at my bank because I wanted to keep it protected. This is was Jerry Siegal and Joe Shuster had in mind of what Superman as a Costumed Hero should be and wanted him to be more majestic, invoke flight and that the cape came in the play and most importantly this was they had in mind in the first place until certain parties made amends to that drawing. The only thing that changed was the Chest Insignia and the Boots and the rest was history. I treasured this artwork for years and I often see this picture at my bank at irregular visit and admire it from there. It's a collector item that I do not want to depart of and I've might unload it in 10-15 years from now to some lucky Superman Admirer. This is one of the coolest picture imaginable and I just wanted to share this gorgeous piece of artwork that both Mr. Siegal and Mr. Shuster had envisioned Superman in Cleveland, Ohio back in 1933. DC Comics got a hold of this property in 1938 and never, ever looked back. I just wanted to share this wonderful illustration that these two distinguished gentlemen created back in 1933. Illustration of Superman - Early 1940's Whee, I was visiting Disneyland / Los Angeles back in the early part of the 80's - One of my favorite things to do is to shop at various collectibles stores that they got zillions of them and one of my favorite stores that unfortunately went out of business in 2003. They had this illustration on a 11z17 mini-poster that I also have it in my Bank for safekeeping. It's a glorious piece of artwork that I have no idea who did this great artwork showing Superman catching a shell firing at a boat of helpless people it was done during early days of World War Two and I just loved this mini-poster that I wanted to share with you today. It's beyond gorgeous and it's a piece of art that was done in early days of the war. Notice the Yellow Trim on his Boots?
