Fortress of Solitude Illustrations{One of the Earliest One} This is very cool and done with a distinctive style that I liked! {My Favorite One} This is one of my favorite illustrations ... both were done in the early 60's and printed in Action Comics!

More Fun Videos
This is the Superman Cartoons that I grew up watching as a Kid and remembered them all so fondly.
22 years later, Ruby Spears Superman hits our Television Sets, with it Williams's Score and all that - I just don't understand how this didn't do so well?
Stamp Day for Superman - George Reeves and Friends put together a show for US Treasury Department to promote savings for stamps and encourage their kids and well as their parents in US Savings Bond as well. I have seen this about 3 times already it's pretty cool when they put this together like this to save money for themselves.
Great Promo - Please listen to it and I find it very heroic and probably the best promo for any television show featuring Superman - Starring George Reeves.

Videos Again!, More Superman Fun!
Superman Animated Short in honor of his 75th Anniversary - this is so wonderful to see this clip and packed with great history of Superman in this short 2 minutes clip.
I just loved this scene in Dean Cain's Superman television career - The Newsroom Scene and it's a very refreshing and touching scene that I may add. It's enduring and powerful.
One of the most powerful scene in Superman II of where Christopher Reeve as Superman kills General Zod!
Christopher Reeve made a shocking cameo in Henry Cavill's Man of Steel Movie that stuns everyone that I know that watched that movie and it's was done in a very clever way of incorporating Christopher Reeve into that movie.
That's all for today!

Superman Number 7 - Tyler HoechlinFeatured Video - Why The New TV Superman Is Better Than Henry Cavill's Superman For what I have seen so far of him in the Supergirl Television Series that he does has a very good chance to be a better Superman than Henry Cavill's because he is a bit more animated than Henry and has some of the good qualities of Christopher Reeve and most of all lack some mannerisms that Henry has. I watched this video a couple days ago and I happened to agree with it for a lot of reasons but I just can't quite put it on paper as I share my thoughts to you. He is a breath of fresh air and a virtual unknown as the Man of Steel and he has the potential of becoming a big star in Hollywood because of his charm and other qualities that Henry's lack. His voice is much more reassuring than Henry and most of all he has no problems projecting it on the screen better than Henry. But, Henry has the looks and the animal magnetism that commands a great deal of admiration that has been taken by stride. Because Tyler is a virtual unknown and I have seen him on limited fashion and he just starting out as the newest Television Superman in existence he will have a bright future ahead and only him can take it as far that he can go. I like him very much as TV's Superman and looking forward seeing more of him in the near future in CW's Supergirl series starring Melissa Benoist. They will have a bright future together in CW!

Superman Number 7 - Tom WellingFeatured Video - Smallville Finale Alternate Ending (MORE Tom in the Suit!) My only beef about Smallville is that they spent too much time of Tom Welling being molded into Superman and not enough of him in the Super Suit and I was very disappointed the series finale of which we only saw a mere few minutes of him in that suit. I felt that we were robbed and I just got tired of him being called the Red Blue Blur and makes sick of hearing it all the time on Smallville and I felt that it was a grave injustice for Tom not being able to be Superman in that series. I loved him as Clark Kent in the last two years on the show and he had great chemistry together. Erica Durance - As Lois Lane in Smallville pictured with Tom Welling. The problem with Smallville that they have a bad habit of trying everything and I've mean everything surrounding of all the DC Comics mythology of cramming in as many heroes that they can and make it work for them alone and did not spend much time on Tom's development as Superman. It was so bad that I almost put Tom in position Number Eight and had Tyler Hoechlin moved up to Number 7. I just felt it was grossly unfair to Tom and bothers me that they don't cast him in any more Television Projects and that's hurts me the most. I've mixed feelings about Hollywood handling him and having said that right now and I felt that he doesn't have much of a future in Entertainment. I almost put him in the bottom of the barrel but Smallville has a great run on CW and that alone puts him at Number 7 for that reason alone. Again, I wished I have seen more of Tom in that suit of his. Smallville ran for 10 seasons and I wanted a 11th Season so bad so I can see him in that suit and CW explore that angle and ran more of him as Clark Kent / Superman and perhaps have a second life similar to Lois and Clark - The New Adventures of Superman. Of which all of us here - Never ever got that chance to see it. A real letdown to this fan - personally.

In the past 5 hours and I have been thinking about Tom and Tyler as Supermen at Number 7 and 8 respectfully and they had the Superman Suit very sparingly so far as it now. With all that in mind there are No 8 in my countdown and both of them share the 7th Spot.
Both of the at Number 7.

Superman Number 6 - Henry CavillFeatured Video: Ice Bucket Challenge to both Cavill and Adams More I think about Henry Cavill as Superman - the more I just can't stand him because he doesn't dress like Clark Kent in any of the reminding Superman's movies and television series that he looks like a college professor than a reporter for the Daily PLanet. I'm having a hard time accepting him as Superman because his voice and screen presence isn't all that good and I consider him one step below than Brandon Routh and I consider Brandon one step above Henry because of his dress as Clark Kent and does a weaker version of Christopher Reeve. I watch Man of Steel and Batman verses Superman and I consider him not impressive indeed and I have a hard time listening him on the Silver Screen because his voice does not do any justice at all. I had a difficult time selecting the best scene in Man of Steel that I truly find epic and memorable. The editing of that movie was downright horrible, beyond horrible and that's why I'm not impressed with that movie at all. There are more negatives than positives and that alone killed my love of the Man of Steel movie from that point on. If Tyler does a good job as Television Current Superman - He might kicked Henry out of the door and move up to this spot at Number 6 and that alone is a testament of his better screen time in Supergirl's Television Series. Henry has the good looks to be Superman and I find him not as good as Clark Kent and sorry all of you Henry Cavill Fans in this Forum - that this member will never ever be a Henry Cavill Fan. His voice and he needs to tweak his image a bit more to be more commanding and I have a hard time hearing him on the big screen because his voice doesn't project at all. I'm hard of hearing and having said that makes it very difficult to enjoy him at all in any of his films that he does. So, he is right at Number 6 and eventually might go down to Number 7 or 8 in the near future. If he is your Superman in the Justice League of the America Movie - I fear that this movie might tank at the box office and I feel that another actor could unseat Cavill in the near future - I can see Jason Momoa overtaking Henry in that movie in his role as Aquaman. Ben Affleck is a joke as Batman.

Superman Number 5 - Brandon RouthFeatured Video: Bullet Scene in Superman Retuns To me, I say this that Brandon is slightly better than Henry and I'm a bit upset that he did only one movie as the Man of Steel and now doing Legends of Tomorrow as the Atom. I find him a Christopher Reeve wanna be and I was hoping that he would do another movie and that's alone was sad to learned that. He had three great scenes in that movie - Saving the Plane, the Bullet Scene, and that lifting that Island off the face of the earth that was laced with Kryptonte that Luthor made was far from brilliant but movie-goers wanted more. I'm having a hard time accepting Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane and the whole concept of her is one big fat joke. She got married to another guy and had a son and telling the world world that we don't need Superman that led her a distinguished prize and that alone destroyed my love of the Man of Steel. I like Brandon and I feel that Hollywood never gave him a chance and yet people constantly criticizing him and that makes this fan a bit sad to think about it. Anyway, he even looked like in some ways more than one like Christopher Reeve and tried his best to emulate his role as Superman / Clark Kent and I have a hard time why our General Public did not accept him at all. I will never, ever know the answer to these questions and will have a hard time accepting that. I loved the Airplane Scene - that's was simply heroic and gently placed down the plane on a Baseball Field was just perfect and I wanted to share another video to you so you can sit back and enjoy this great 4 minute clip of one of the great scenes in Superman Returns starring Brandon Routh as Superman. Another Featured Video: Airplane Scene

Number 4 - Kirk Alyn - Superman SerialsNote: The bottom four should watch this serial to get a few pointers from Kirk to learn how to play Superman. 1948 Serial Introduction1950 Serial IntroductionKirk sets the standards for all future Supermen to follow and I consider him a true original one of the best in that role he fits into the Golden Age of Comics quite nicely and I find him to be one of the most unique actor ever don the costume and cape of Superman. I watch this serial over the Summer and the Early Fall and I just in awe of the special effects that they did back then using animation and clever ways of working in all the aspects of him performing super feats and all. The casting of those serials were done in style, class, and dignity. I was surprised to see Noel Neill being cast as Lois Lane and she was excellent as a reporter for the Daily Planet. They did everything right in both 1948 and 1950 serials in finding the right actor and actresses for the job. Great Plots and Counter-Plots and that made this series one of the best that Columbia Pictures ever did in their movie serials business back then and that's helps steer the way for a very successful George Reeves Television Series later on. Because they learned a lot back then of how to make Superman Fly and perform mighty feats of heroism. Kirk was too close to perfection and I find him one of the best Superman and he is better than Henry Cavill, Brandon Routh, Tom Welling, and Tyler Hoechlin as the Man of Steel. I just can't describe my joy of watch Kirk Alyn and knowing that the producers did a marvelous job keeping the serials alive with gripping tales and suspenseful atmosphere that keeps you on the edge of your seat shows you that he and the rest of the cast has done it's job of keeping you entertained to the end and wanting more. That's how good it was and Kirk was a big part of it.

1948 Main Villain - Spider Lady played by Carol FormanShe was sinister, evil, and one of the most diabolical woman ever graced the movie serials history did a masterful job of keeping the Man of Steel on the edge and I find her just the right actress for the job and even dressed for the part of the villainous Spider Lady. She cold, calculated, and crafty to do her part to keep Metropolis on the edge of disaster until Superman by Kirk Alyn stopped dead in her tracks. She was that good members here and I would strongly and recommended everyone should watch this serial that kept me on the edge of my seats of her wicked, evil ways to defeat Superman and sadly ... you know the rest of the story. Carol Forman Grade as Spider Lady is flat out A. 1950 Main Villain - Atom Man / Lex Luthor played by Lyle TalbotAs you all know that he played Commissioner Gordon in one of the Batman Serials and did a great job doing so and he even did a better job as Atom Man and Lex Luthor in the 1950 Movie Serial that was even better than the 1948 Movie Serial that really puts him in a light of things that I consider the benchmark for Lex Luthor actors in the future to follow. He and Gene Hackman are so darn close to perfection and he alone looks like Luthor in the Comic Book during the end of the Golden Age of Comics. Take a look at this picture below and the picture that I shared with you in above. picture it's just close as perfection it's gets! Again, his grade for both Atom Man and Lex Luthor is another solid A. These two actors and others that appeared with them made Kirk Alyn Superman Movie Serials the best of the best and Kirk has done 30 Chapters of 15 minutes each and has done a masterful job as Clark Kent and Superman and Carol Forman and Lyle Talbot was a big part of that success. Kirk Alyn deserved the Number 4 rating ... Tomorrow is Dean Cain at Number 3.

Number #3 - Dean Cain - Lois & Clark New Adventures of SupermanFeatured Video: Clark gets his Superman Costume made by his Mother! Note: This is the best one that I could find. Crazy Song, but I loved it anyway. I was very disappointed that this show only lasted 4 Seasons one season longer than Wonder Woman of who I felt that both Lynda Carter and Dean Cain deserved better. It was a major disappointment for the show that hip and grabs the younger crowd into the fray of the exploits of Superman by Dean Cain who was great all around in both of his role as Clark Kent and Superman. To me, he was a breath of fresh air and if he had a couple more years and this show is still kicking down doors after Seasons 5 and possibly 6 - He could had been Number 2 on my list and unseat George Reeves as Number 2 in my countdown. To me, he beat out Kirk Alyn because he had humor, class, and more emotions than Kirk. Kirk was excellent as Superman and somewhat a letdown as Clark Kent. Here where Dean Cain beats Kirk as Clark Kent and that's why I put him ahead of Kirk Alyn. I felt that the problems of this show is that they killed off Lex Luthor too early and had two Jimmy Olsen's and many fans were complaining that Cat Grant being played by Tracy Scoggins had one year in her belt. And, that alone was a letdown to me for that reason too. These three problems that I felt killed the chances for additional year and the show has become a very expensive show to make and sponsors aren't getting their money worth. Tracy Scoggins as Cat Grant But, anyway this show had lots to offer and had good story lines and humor and I felt that Teri Hatcher was the best Lois Lane ever and I would put her on par with Noel Neill as the best of the best, but I had to go with Noel with a slight advantage of her longevity of her character and that killed Teri Hatcher as the best Lois Lane. I would put Teri ahead over Margot Kidder by a Country Mile and having said that she did the show with right dose of humor, class, and all around good girl that made her a household name. Everyone appeared on that show was good and I don't have a favorite at all for Jimmy Olsen but, I like Ma and Pa Kent and Perry White as well. They were good as they come and they had a great supporting cast presence. I just wished that they had another year on their belt and I wanted more of Dean Cain as Superman - he was a breath of fresh air and I loved the Dynamics of that show and one thing that makes it great is that both Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Superman all had equal billing and that alone put Dean Cain at Number 3 position for one of the best Superman ever. That's my take on Dean Cain.
