Fantastic Four #246-247 This Land is Mine!Fantastic Four is forced to help Dr. Doom to retake Latveria. Fantastic Four #57-60 “The Power and the Peril!Doctor Doom steals the Power Cosmic from the Silver Surfer and it was a gem that Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott were the creative team behind these issues. These two stories are my favorites.

Of those you listed, the Triumph & Torment OGN by Stern & Mignola with Doc Strange & Doom trying to rescue Doom's mother from hell would be my pick, and what I voted for, but my favorite Doom story of all from a pure nostalgia perspective was this one... which I read til it was dog-eared as a kid. Some of the issues I had as a kid were faves as well, including a couple SVTU issues, Astonishing Tales #2, Champions 16,but Avengers #25 (which I had reprinted in Marvel Triple Action) was the Doom story I have read the most during and since childhood. I didn't read a Doom vs. the FF story until well into adulthood, as I haver got many FF issues as a kid (most of my Doom vs. FF experience came form the various FF cartoons I saw. -M I just fell out of my chair...

Some scans from Astonishing Tales #8Holy crap the computer colorization on those is awful. Colan is an artist who always looks better in black & white. But the new coloring does him zero justice at all.

Fantastic Four 80-83?, where reed, thing, torch and Crystal travel to latervia and have a big fight with doom's robot army. those the best story imo.

I'll be iconclastic and say Iron Man 149-150. This is my vote, too... I'm surprised it's not on the list, actually. I also really like the one where he goes after Mephisto for the soul of his mother, but I have no idea what comic it's in.

Either Secret Wars or the "Triumph and Torment" storyline featuring Doctor Strange
Hard to pick between the two

You fullas are gonna hate on me but I really like Doom as portrayed by Hickman, becoming Valeria's mentor, and in the recent Secret Wars as THE lord of the cosmos, well Battleworld(IIRC). FF 246-247 and that Iron Man story rock too.

Doom actually beats the FF. But a tragedy makes him rethink his plan and he lets them go. It's FF 84-87 btw. This story should have been in the poll. I also loved the Atonishing Tales stories drawn by Wood and Colan.

I took Doom stories off the top of my head otherwise It would have about 30 choices. I also enjoyed the two parter where he takes over the Baxter building and fights a powerless FF, guest starring Daredevil.

Wolfman and Pollard's Son of Doom takes it for me. Doom done properly arrogantly and having his iron butt handed to him in the end because of his own failure to look beyond his iron nose.
2nd choice would be Astonishing Tales #8. A grand story and gorgeous Colan artwork.
