Not sure about THE worst, but I actually really dislike Fantastic Four #5. Everything I like about Dr. Doom came much later than that. F.F. #5 is a pretty awful comic story-wise. I gave it a D+. It did have some of the better art for the earliest issues of the FF though.

Dr. Doom. Arguably, the best villain in comics history, No arguments. He just is. I think Galactus, Joker, and corporate Lex Luthor are all worthy competitors for that title.

I try to give it a break because Stan and Jack clearly didn't have a feel for the universe they were creating yet, but yeah...Doom storming into their office, for one thing. And the idea that Doom has a time travelling device and doesn't use it to make himself a god and wipe out the ancestors of all his enemies?

You fullas are gonna hate on me but I really like Doom as portrayed by Hickman, becoming Valeria's mentor, and in the recent Secret Wars as THE lord of the cosmos, well Battleworld(IIRC). FF 246-247 and that Iron Man story rock too. I'm definitely a fan of Hickman's FF run Featured one of my favorite Doom quotes ever

I dug out my old top 10 from when Brian did a Dr. Doom poll. This was some years ago. Not sure if it's exactly the list I'd come up with today, but probably close. 10. Revolution, from Astonishing Tales #1-3 That's the Wally Wood story I was mentioning. Glad to see it made it into the Top Ten Doom. It's too bad Wood didn't do more Marvel work - or just more work, period. His output wasn't as low as Sternako's, but you always wish there were more. And it looked so good in colour in that Astonishing Tales Doom.

Cei-U! I summon the day Flo Steinberg realized they weren't paying her enough! I jut wanna summon a way to go back to 1966 and give her gourmet chockies, a rare orchid, and a light kiss on the forehead, concluding with a 'thank you, lovely; these Tales couldn't happen without you, how can I get Stan to give you a raise?'.
