Thanks again to those voted for that great Flash-Spectre cover and thanks also to all the Contest participants. I thought that was a great topic that yielded a lot of interesting covers and discussion. As for this week's topic, well, you knew this was coming --let's celebrate covers by Gil Kane. I'll add a twist: post any GK cover excluding his Atom and Green Lantern covers. RULES- Post one (and only one) classic cover that fits the theme of the contest.
- Covers must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before December 2007.
- Covers must be posted before voting begins.
- Voting takes place on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, beginning at 12:01am PST and ending at 11:59pm PST.
- Vote by posting the name in bold of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most.
- The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period.
- The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest.
- If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it; please don't post disparaging remarks about it.
- If a cover is more recent than the classic time frame, kindly point it out so that the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins.
- Don't link from comics.org (gcd) or Wikia; the images don't show up here or are too small.
- Avoid using pictures hosted by Photobucket as they are no longer displaying.
- Most importantly please remember that we're here to have fun. Enjoy!
Looking forward to seeing some great Kane covers!

And here is my Kane cover, with J. Severin inks--a dream team. Love the POV/camera angle here.

Could have picked some other more famous covers, put this cover grabbed me by the throat as a kid. What a cover ! Still one of my favorite Bronze Age babies. Tony is gonna get pummeled from both sides by heavyweights Hulk and Iron Man and the other Avengers don't care ? What ?!

Savage and this book were 2 of the first 3 options I thought of. I went with the reprint of Savage (better cover than the original), and was wondering if this or my other option would show up (I highly doubt option 3 will show up as I think only 5 people besides me know about it/remember it and those 5 read about it in my S&S review thread ) -M

He drew so many covers. It is almost impossible to pick one I'll go with this, loved his work on the series. Though I expect i might change it one or two times.
