MDG
Hon. mentions to Michael James, chaykinstevens, foxley, Hal, tarkintino, Mecha, bert, icc, Rob Allen, and well, almost everyone. There were a couple of covers in this thread that I don't particularly care for. The rest are superb IMO.

MDG. It puts emotion in the basket.

foxley
I pretty much had to flip a mental coin to choose between this Creeper cover and Codystarbuck's Blackmark.

I will spare the membership my strained wordplay this week (mostly because I can't come up with that many Kane puns).
This week's winner is yours truly, foxley, with 6 votes. Runner-up, with 4 votes, is MDG. Third place goes to Paste Pot Paul, with 3 votes. berkley scored 2 votes. And Jesse, codystarbuck, crimebuster, kirby101, mrp, Michael James, Rob Allen, Farrer, chaykinstevens, Phil Maurice, DubipR, brianf, Slam_Bradley, and tarkintino all received 1 vote. This might be a record for the number of covers receiving votes; a fitting testament to Gil Kane's talent.
Thanks to everyone who voted for me. New contest up soon.

Congratulations, foxley! You have earned the Mark of Kane. MDG and Paste Pot Paul, meanwhile, have proved themselves solid citizens. To Xanadu and beyond!

Congrats to foxley and that gripping Creeper cover. As tarkintino noted, Kane added a lot of drama to the Ditko creation. And here's Kane take on another Ditko creation (this is the cover I alluded to earlier):
