kirby101 gets my vote for the Warlock premiere cover. That cover, for me, epitomizes the look that made Marvel's early 70's covers so irresistible and enticing. I'm not sure they've ever topped the design aesthetic they had when Kane was their primary cover artist.

Yes. I thought that the Gil Kane thread undermined this weeks contest. it's a shame that got started before this week's contest was over  or at least only post Kane covers from Atom/GL, since those were not allowed in here (until contest was over). but oh well. |
