Nothing like old DC sci-fi as seen in the Rip Hunter cover. Love it!

All but the first issue of its 45-issue run. (That was by Alex Toth.) As great a collection of eclectic covers as you're going to find in one title. Kane did something from virtually every genre on Rex: Western; war; mystery; animal; science-fiction; dinosaurs; you name it, Kane drew it for Rex. I was really tempted to use the cover where Rex battles an octopus underwater. But for the most part, they're all top-notch Kane. I was thinking of a couple, too, but went for an old favorite. A Rex cover gallery really is quite a display of virtuosity.

Well, HALF Gil Kane It might have been interesting to reverse it on the back cover and have them draw one another.

I think that's the first time I've seen the classic Captain Marvel look rendered in green! Despite it being Sivana, it's a good look.

Rawhide Kid #140 in the regular version and rare 35-cent variant (hopefully it's permissible to post both). Damn ! that's a nice cover

Can we have this subject, like once a month. There's just so many awesome covers out there. I posted mine then scrolled one roll of the mouse and there was a killer Kid Cold cover, and then Captain Marvel, then In humans, then ... Now imagine the sheer awesomenessness of adding Green Lantern and Atom.
Kane's Lantern was such a huge influence on my learning to draw. He taught me how a person should look when flying, how to put real power into a punch, and most importantly the nasal upskirt shot.
