Gwendoline Christie has been cast as Lucifer. That's a pretty darn good choice. She can look androgynous enough, like the character in the comic when he was introduced, and definitely has an air of power about her! If Kristofer Hivju gets cast as Etrigan, it could get a bit awkward. I could actually see him as Etrigan...

No footage, but wow, just wow: Well, it's got a better budget than Neverwhere! One question, unrelated; whatever happened to Neil Gaiman's supposed sensitivity to bright light that was his reason for always wearing sunglasses when he worked in comics? Soon as he became a bestselling prose author they disappeared. Funny, that.

No footage, but wow, just wow: I've been trying real hard not to get excited about this and raise my expectations, to go into it with an open mind. I've liked the casting I've seen and such, but just trying not to get ahead of myself and just experience it as it is rather than what I think it will be, but man, that little clip is hard to resist and I am starting ot get excited about this. -M

It was always not about sensitivity to bright light: But I think it's mostly that he needs reading glasses these days and dragging two sets of glasses around is cumbersome.

«What the people who don’t wear shades don’t know is that some of us wear shades because they’re all that stop us being eye-naked — forced to gaze, unprotected, at the wet and bleeding face of reality as it squirms and pulses and writhes like a razor slicing a child’s eyeball or the sight of something dead, twitching, just once before collapsing and bloating (...)»Harh!!! That sounds like self-parody!!! (or teenage goth poetry). "I wear socks in my Birkenstocks because it is the only thing separating my transient incarnation from the blood- and pus-stained Earth on which the inequities of Man condemns unborn future souls and their secret wisdom to be crucified on the tree of stolen dreams, their red tears and Yggdrasil's sap watering the black bloom born of their forefathers' sins". Or words to that effect.

New toaster won't help any. Toasters are a hive mentality bent on annoying a humanity which wants perfectly toasted bread when the toaster believes burnt is supposed to suffice. Not true! What about this guy:

Getting back to the topic... I'm not sure I can see most of the comic as a live action show, so It'll be interesting to say the least. I'm not sure I love the whole cast being female.. the Endless should be more different from each other that than, maybe even have multiple people play them. Perhaps they'll be some CGI in there that'll help OTOH, that's not the whole group, so perhaps it won't be. Also, I REALLY wanted Tom Ellis and perhaps some of the other cast member of Lucifer to be involved somehow.. even if as different character. I guess that could still happen. Even if the show has gone so far from the original concept as to have no connection other than the character names, it's still connected in a way

Because "the whole cast being female" kinda confuses me.

Sadly my only issue is that there's simply too much comic book stuff on TV/streaming nowadays and not enough time to watch them all.
