FYI, the first post-Crisis issue of Justice League of America was #246. Cei-U! I summon the footnote! Good point-the Detroit League were still around for almost a year and a half after Crisis ended. Yes. None of the reboots happened immediately after Crisis concluded. Man of Steel: 7 months later Batman Year One: 11 months later Wonder Woman #1: 11 months later Justice League #1: 14 months later

Batman was also the de facto leader of the previous incarnation of the League when it ended, he returned sometime around issue 250 and was a member until it ended while only Aquaman and MArtian Manhunter (maybe Zatanna if you count her) of the traditional big Leaguers were there as well. J'onn stayed as part of the new team with Bats (they were the only 2 carryovers) and Aquaman and Zatanna did not, nor did any of the surviving lesser heroes who had comprised the previous League when it ended.

I loves me some Batman, and we're getting close to breaking of the Bat which was when I first really started to follow Batman every month.

They're all great choices, but I voted for MOKF. That's a title that I discovered, and fell in love with, just a couple of years ago, but I still have some gaps in my collection. Besides, I'm a bronze Age Baby.

For example, Wonder Woman was never a member of The League now (at least until Zero Hour revises this, I think?). That was Infinite Crisis. For a brief, glorious time (between Infinite Crisis and Flashpoint) both Wonder Woman and Black Canary were founding Leaguers.

You're right. I never considered that before. Why was Batman allowed? As I recall, Superman, Flash and Wonder Woman were declared "off limits" by Byrne, Perez and Baron. The Bat office offered up Batman to be nice and the editor of JLI was also the editor of Green Lantern so he could pick whatever GL he wanted. I'll have to find the trade introduction for the confirmation.

I'll keep the poll open indefinitely. For now, here's what I'm toying with based upon the feedback received:
1. I'm not convinced I want to move ahead with Master of Kung Fu until my Doug Moench thread has caught up to it, so I'll continue to make the Moench thread a high priority this year. I'm only about 20 reviews away from getting to the Marvel stuff. It's possible I could then have the Master of Kung Fu thread back and running again within the year, but it wouldn't be anytime soon.
2. Keep Batman and Superman going. It's nice to see people still care about those threads. I'm still enjoying maintaining them.
3. Get Justice League up and running pretty much as soon as those Legends issues arrive by mail (so pretty much a week from now).
4. Nick Fury will continue to be a lower priority, as will T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents. I still plan to do some reviews this coming year, but not regularly.

Good, I do like your Batman and Superman threads and I don't contribute it that much - but it's has a ton of references and information that I can use in a good way and the Justice League Thread - that one thread that I will be very much interested and that's why I'm excited about it and glad that took steam when I gone for 8-10 hours! Justice League in the Post Crisis Era (this would be a NEW thread)

And Captain Marvel the month before Justice League. And Hawkworld comes in last at 5 years later... Yes, people have a tendency to regard the Hawkworld reboot as somehow being fallout from the Crisis, but it really had nothing to do with it. The Silver Age Hawkman had an entire 17 issue series between August 1986 and December 1987 which followed on from the events of the 1985 Shadow War mini and the subsequent Hawkman Special, but for some reason it seems to be virtually forgotten today. Hawkworld (the ongoing) was June 1990, though, so just over four years after the Crisis ended.

C. some bum they drug off the streets? Let the continuity hijinks ensue!

It's not forgotten by me! That 1986 to 1987 Hawkman series is the only time I've ever collected Hawkman. I re-read it fairly recently (a year or so ago) and it's OK. I really liked it when I was buying them monthly at the newsstand! It was mostly the Don Heck art, but I think I also liked how different it was from the other comics I was reading. It kind of loses steam at the end. The last three or four issues were a bit of a chore.

I remember he was really annoyed by the new League, and thought it was an embarassment to the legacy of the League. Later on, I believe the answer ended up being something like C. I've never read the comics that retconned the JLI Hawkman, but I have read about them (maybe in Wikipedia). When Hawkworld changed Hawkman continuity, the JLI Hawkman was retconned into being a Thanagarian impostor who posed as Katar Hol. I think his name was Fel Andar (unless that's a totally different character). This is from the vague recesses of my mind, so I may botch some details.

After the Hawkworld reboot, they retconned it as having been Thanagarian spy Fel Andar, pretending to be Carter Hall Jnr (supposedly the previously unknown son of the original Hawkman, who was off in Limbo with the JSA). His Hawkwoman was a woman named Sharon Parker.
