I'm actually excited to see this more than the new Batman film everyone is gaga over. And I thought the initial film sucked hard. We'll see if it a miracle can fix it.

Somebody needs to tell Thanos...oops, I mean Darkseid to put his shirt on. This ain't no disco, this ain't no party, this ain't no swingers hook up, at least wear a leather chest guard or strap with sword across the back.

Snyder is a one-trick pony and that trick stopped being remotely interesting the second time we saw it. I didn’t see the original cut. I won’t see this one.
If you’d told 10 year old me they’d make a big-budget JLA movie and I wouldn’t care one bit I’d have said you were nuts. But here we are.

I'd rather they made the movies they used to fantasize about in the JLA letters pages, in the 70s. Lee Majors as the Flash, Cheryl Ladd as Black Canary, Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman and Christopher Reeve as Superman. Couldn't be any worse.

I enjoyed the first one a lot, partially due to low expectations. I'll watch this one, but four hours is ridiculous.

Parroting what Slam said, Synder's Watchman was probably his only good film because it brought an outsider's perspective to the then budding superhero genre. He shouldn't have been allowed to touch anything afterwards

Hard to imagine, but that actually looks worse than the JL film that was delivered

The animation there just looks terrible. Like, who thought that was good to be put out there?

I am very interested in seeing Snyder's true vision consistent with the rest of the DCEU, rather than the mess that WB suits & Whedon crashed and burned in. Whedon was so completely wrong for anything DC.

He shouldn't have been allowed to touch anything afterwards I will argue that one to the death. Snyder completely missed the point of Watchmen, which just shows that a black and white world view blinds you to irony.

Reeve and Carter were of course perfect, so absolutely. Ladd as Black Canary, dunno. She had the looks, but the presence? Don't remember. Too bad the studios were, um, less flexible about the race thing back then, because Pam Grier would have killed in that part. Can't see Lee Majors as Flash, myself. I think Dirk Benedict would be a shoo-in. And how about Danny Bonaduce as Wally West?

Well, most of the suggestions in the letters page were actors currently on tv or movie screens. Majors was usually suggested because of Steve Austin's speed, which is faster than the eye can detect, so it looks like slo-motion. Nick Nolte, for some reason (even before The Deep), was suggested often for Aquaman. It seemed to lead to a rumor that he starred in an Aquaman pilot, but Bob Rozakis debunked that, in the Daily Planet pages. Quite frankly, a lot of the suggestions would have been terrible; but, that was half the fun.

Wow, Snyder is branching out. Instead of giving us large ashes floating around like snowflakes, he's giving us large snowflakes floating around like snowflakes. Ugh. More joyless heroes in a colorless world.
